Time was a fickle thing, it was meant to be a concept. people told him in time he would heal, in time he wouldn't feel so guilty. but it had been three months, three long painful months stuck inside his own head.
Ranboo stuck to his side, keeping him company in these dark times. Dream would sit with him listening to the discs that had once belonged to his best friend.
Dream had given Tubbo the disc that had once belonged to his best friend. Tubbo had seen it as an act of kindness however he was unaware it was an act of control. the ram hybrid had a problem with trusting the wrong people for the wrong reasons.
"We should get married" Tubbo had proposed, his head laying in the lap of the enderman hybrid. Ranboo was startled by that, his eyes wide. "I mean platonically for tax benefits" the ram hybrid explained.
"O-Oh that's a good idea" Ranboo was flustered, he knew for certain he was only here for his little brother. for the task he was given but his brother never told him he couldn't get platonically married. "b-but why me?".
"Because your the only other minor I know" the brunette stated, "that and you have stuck my side for the past three months, you helped me smile again and your the reason my nightmares have gotten dimmed".
Ranboo looked away from the slightly younger boy. before looking back to him an idea forming in his mind. "I'll marry you platonically on one condition". Tubbo sat up from his spot in the taller teens lap.
"That is?" he questioned his soon to be possible platonic husband. the president was curious of the demands his friend had in order to be his platonic partner.
Ranboo grabbed Tubbo's hands in his, "You stop being the President of L'manburg and we both leave this place and begin a new life without all this stress". Tubbo froze at this wanting to pull his hands from the taller boy.
Leave the place he had called home for a long time now. leave the country that he was the leader of for the sake of a new life, and well it didn't sound that bad as he let the pro's and cons into his mind.
He tried to remember the good times here, he really did but all that came was bad memories. and what about Dream what would he think? he was Tubbo's friend right? than again maybe he wasn't.
He always trusted to easy, and maybe the masked man was just a tie he had to cut loose. "I'll do it" he spoke voice shaky, "let's leave this place and start a life together somewhere new". he didn't know where to begin but he knew Ranboo would be by his side no mater what.
unaware to him later that night a letter would be sent, a letter to someone he would meet in a few weeks time.
~ ~ ~ ~
Three months, since Tommy's death. Three months since he began to be haunted. Three months since everything began to set into motion, however his plan began to crumble.
It fell apart two months ago, Sapnap had announced he was leaving. he told his best friend he had been given the offer of a life time and like that one of his own attachments was gone but he was fine.
He was breaking but at least he had George or so he thought. but a week ago his mushroom like friend had vanished from their home. the brown haired male had left a note that only explained how he could no longer stay here and he was gone like that.
He was lonely, yet he pretended like it didn't mater. he didn't need them they were attachments. and today he would put his plan into action he would lead Ranboo and Tubbo into the nether to the room he had made.
He would have if his plans were ruined. he had went to L'manburg only to find a certain house empty. he would find in the three days he left the two alone they had fled they had left packed up and ran.
He couldn't understand this, he didn't like this. and the shadow of the one he scorned only let out a laugh at the man. "Poor, Poor Dream" they walked around him, "how the tables have turned, you took away all I cared for and now the same is happening to you".
Dream was angry, he was pissed. he wanted to lock those two in the vault he wanted to have this server for himself again but the scorned boy was right. he was loosing everything and at the cost for what? control?.
"You just wanted control now all you have is loneliness" the burnt figure chirped, the grin spread on their face. "you should of known this would happen you know" he spun around him. "I warned you those you burned will come to scorn but you never listen".
"I know" the man mumbled, "I know" he repeated. why was he acting like this why did he want control? why did it matter so much without the ones he used to call friends. but a voice in the back of his mind told him otherwise.
"Change your ways and maybe this will change" the one he hadn't watch burn, the one he wasn't there to save stated. the one he tried to make his puppet, all for the sake of control.
His head hurt, he closed his eyes, opened them and the boy was gone again. change, he needed to change. he had to admit his wrongs, he didn't need control and even if the voice screaming at him to stop, screaming for control.
He made his choice. he turned himself in, he needed change and this was the first step. admit his wrongs, maybe he didn't need control. because he was alone, and what good was he without the ones he actually cared for.
The news of Dream being put inside Pandora's Vault spread like wildfire the day after. and those he wronged began to question why they were even here in the first place.
That day L'manburg became known as the country of no hope. it was left abandoned by those who had once called it home, and those people would begin anew.
Unaware of what was soon to occur, for a certain man made of slime would report what was aspiring in the overworld to a certain prince. and the prince would smile, his plan finally falling into action.
However with his plan came other news. news that shocked him and his ma for his brother had sent a letter to them.
It was a shock to them both. because Tommy would have never thought his older brother would marry anyone before him, and never did he think it would be his ex best friend.
Oh his brother had a lot to explain when he made his return home. in the overworld located in a small cottage an enderman hybrid felt a shiver creep up his spine.
