Ch.6.Godly Interference.

Staring down at the bubbling lava, the young god couldn't help but feel lonely even when surrounded by the subjects that adored him. but even than back inside the palace he felt suffocated like he couldn't breathe when they came to greet him.

This party was meant to celebrate his return, but even now he felt out of place. six years out of the nether as Tommy and not Theseus, when he played Tommy he was seen as just another human a child solider but as Theseus he was seen as a prince, the next in line for the throne.

When he had first taken up deaths offer he had been overjoyed. he smiled sadly at the memory of meeting Phil and Wilbur for the first time, the brunette mortal had just been overjoyed to have someone to talk to. someone like him a human that was like the younger brother he never got to have.

He allowed Wilbur to drag him along to his crazy schemes, the campervan and the nights looking up at the stars. had turned into a country, and that turned into him having to hold back his own strength when fighting Dream and the others for the first time.

When he gave up his disk for the country, or so they assumed. his disks had a mind of their own, and he knew they would keep an eye on the ones in the overworld while he did his duties as a prince here. while his plan unfolded and Ranboo did his part, but he felt sad when thinking about his brother.

He could of told him to return with him, he could of told him they were done for good with everyone there but he didn't. his plan was a simple one, and this way his brother would get a chance at making friends his own age. Ranboo chose people not sides, he would do the right thing when the time game.

"I thought I'd find you out here" a familiar voice snapped him from his thoughts, as a black haired male made his way closer to him. Sapnap, a man whom was once Dreams closet alley whom was here for Prince Theseus's return home ball. unknown to Dream the male was born and raised here, by his father. so when his father got the invitation of course he dragged his son along with him to welcome the prince home.

"And why is that?" his tail swung side to side as he cast a glance at the man, one that should learn to pick better friends. he made certain to change the pitch of his voice slightly just in case the man put two and to together. 

"I don't know man you just seem like the type that wouldn't like staying cooped inside that stuffy place" he joined the younger one by placing his arms on the bridge and looking down at the lava. "You know my dads told me a lot about the sons of our queen, I just never thought I'd get to meet one".

Tommy no Theseus hummed at that, "Ah I'm gonna take a guess and say you imagined some stuck up spoiled rich boy right?" the male beside him could only offer a sheepish smile. "ah I was right big man, not very nether of you but I'll let it slide I mean I see the point to be honest man".

Sapnap chuckled at that, this kid was honestly something interesting. this was his first time meeting prince Theseus and to say all his expectations of the male had all been proven wrong he couldn't help but sense he knew the boy from somewhere. 

His mind compared him to, to Tommy. at the thought of the golden blonde with bright blue eyes Sapnap felt his mood go into a down pour. he shouldn't compare the prince to a dead teen, it wouldn't be right. plus Theseus looked nothing like Tommy or so he convinced himself.

The boy had golden blonde locks like Tommy yes, but his blonde hair held pink in it. this boy had tusks and a tail, Tommy was human. and not to mention he had one eye of crimson red as far as he could see for the other was covered by the boys bangs. 

He forced these thoughts from his brain. no he would not do this to himself, he would not force this upon his own prince. "Sorry about assuming shit about you" he looked up at the nether roof missing the stars as his thoughts of before faded away. "But like your a prince it was hard not to with how many stories my dad tells me about you and your brother, speaking of which where is your brother?".

Theseus looked at him with a smile on his face, "Oh Lethe is with our Mother in the overworld" the lie spilled easily from his lips. and the older only ate it up, "I may miss him but seeing as how They haven't seen her in so long it was only a matter of time before he went to stay with her for awhile".

Sapnap let as smile cross his face as well, oh that was kind of sappy but very nice of Lethe. two names of certain origin he could see just how their parents named their children. however "why does she live in the overworld?" he asked. his eyes showing his curiosity.

"Seeing as she is the goddess of the earth she is needed there to keep balance" he sighed, "it was strange growing up with divorced parents whom would take turns on who got me or Lethe come which season". he moved away from the railing of the bridge, "but I grew used to it over time, now speaking of time I think we should head in before my Ma realizes I'm missing and drags me back inside".

Sapnap chuckled, "If she asks just say I kidnapped you" he moved away from the railing throwing an arm over the prince's shoulder. "oh wait shit, I forgot to introduce myself" he heard the prince let a small laugh out at that. "I'm Sapnap, and I feel were gonna be good friends my dear prince".

Theseus smiled, "Please just call me Theseus, My prince feels way to fucking formal", maybe just maybe he could rebuild the broken bridges. and take away the things Dream had as an attachment but he shook away that thought. he would not become that man, he would not make the same mistakes he did.

Unaware to the two boys as they went back inside a tall demon hybrid cried as how his son was growing up, while his small blue husband could only pat him on the back as he did so. oh Bad was truly glad, he was so happy.

His son was making friends with one of the princes and that in itself was a wonderful thing. and while the demon cried the queen smiled from her hidden spot, her son needed this and Sapnap would make a good alley in the future. and maybe at some point become one of her sons most trusted guards.

For now all she had to do was wait, for this was an opportunity one that she couldn't let slip from her fingers. for soon the boys fathers would be agreeing to letting their son get placed into the royal guard. 

For no parent born in the nether would give up a chance of a life time. and Sapnap well he probably wouldn't mind have a change in lifestyle, as long as he was happy being a protector for his new found friend.
