DISCLAIMER

Some chapters of this story involves legal and court proceedings. The scenes involving these proceedings were not a hundred per cent true, as the authors disclaim and exclude themselves for the liability or responsibility for any errors and misinformation contained within this story.

Most, if not all, of the court proceedings in this story involves the jury trial. In our country, the Philippines, only had bench trial wherein the judge facilitates and gives the verdict and sentence to the accused. In the jury trial, there were juries who will give the verdict and the judge facilitates the trial.

Moreover, the authors, again, disclaim themselves for all the errors to be seen in the given scenarios. They are not lawyers nor prosecutors, and are not even inclined with someone or something in the judiciary branch. The authors also have not experienced watching a live trial.

The authors made those chapters involving legal and court proceedings as the storyline progresses. All in all, we wanted to remind our readers that this story is a work of fiction. We hope you understand this! Happy reading!

“WE WOULD LIKE TO SUMMON A WITNESS.”

I was here, inside a room, getting ready for what I will say once my name will be called. Cameras were all over the courtroom.

Nakaramdam ako ng presensya sa tabi ko. I know it was Ro. He will also be testifying against his father.

“I was bewildered by what was had revealed in the preliminary trial,” he started, talking about his father’s unfaithfulness to his mom.

“WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE LAUREL TUAZON TO THE WITNESS STAND.”

W-what?

Then, an attractive woman entered the courtroom accompanied by a bailiff. She looked sophisticated.

“State your name,” the clerk said.

“Laurel Tuazon,” the woman answered.

“Spell your last name for the record.”

“T-U-A-Z-O-N. Tuazon.”

“Do you swear that the testimony you shall give in this court will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God? Please say ‘I do.’”

“I do.”

The defense attorney then stood in front of her.

“How are you?” he asked.

The woman, instead of answering the questions, was left in tears because of the question.
