Nina and Fabian headed to the adoption center first thing. Fabian already had signed the adoption papers which had been Nina's birthday surprise the previous day. Nina would be meeting their new five-year old daughter for the first time. Not only was it how cute she looked that had drawn Fabian to her, but also that her name was Sarah, and he knew Nina would've loved that.
He parked at the center, and when entering, the orphanage housemother brought Sarah out with her bags.
Nina smiled down at her new daughter. Sarah had dirty-blonde hair and deep brown eyes and dimples that couldn't be cuter.
"Hi, Sarah," Nina smiled.
Sarah waved frantically, a large grin on her face. Fabian took her bags and Nina took her hand, heading back out to the car and then heading home.
When they arrived home, Fabian proceeded with taking the bags inside. Nina went to the back seat and opened the door.
"You're my mum, aren't you?" Sarah asked her before Nina picked her up and brought her out the car.
"You're ok with that, right?" Nina asked in a sweet tone.
"Yup, but-" Nina lifted her up into her arms as Sarah continued, "-you sound different than me and daddy."
"I know," Nina giggled. "I guess I'm just a special mother, huh? Hey, if you head inside, your father Fabian will show you our ice cream in the fridge, alright?"
Nina let Sarah down, and Sarah took off running into the house.
She went to go check the mailbox, seeing that most of it was junk. But two envelopes caught her eye in particular, addressed to each her and Fabian, that came from their old boarding school.
When she went into her house, she saw Sarah sitting in a chair, up on her knees, eating her ice cream out of a bowl. She went over to Fabian and clued him in on the mail, showing him the envelope.
"From our high school," Nina acknowledged. "How would Mr. Sweet know our address."
Fabian shrugged. "Besides that, we might as well open them and see what's inside."
They both opened the envelopes, seeing letters addressed to them.
Fabian muttered his under her breath as he read:
Dear Fabian Rutter or To Whom it May Concern,
Amun Academy Boarding School invites you to offer your assistance to the high school students in the upcoming school year. You, along with other prior academy students, will serve as mentors to the children and ensure they make the most out of their high school experience while encouraging them to keep up their grades.
If you agree to accept this opportunity, come to the campus on July 17th at promptly 9:00am for more information and preparation for the up and coming school year.

Fabian glanced up at Nina as both of them finished reading at practically the same time.
"I know that look," Nina sighed.
"What look?"
"That look you have when you really want something. Fabian, we have a kid now-"
"-can we at least go and see what they have to tell us?" Fabian pleaded. "And then we can decide."
Nina rolled her eyes and moaned, "Fine."

Nina and Fabian brought Sarah along with them when the date came, and they could see Patricia and Eddie, and Alfie and Willow, did the same with their children. They realized at least all the Sibuna members had been invited and wondered if all of Anubis house was, from their graduation class. When everyone was in the school, waiting outside Mr. Sweet's office, they could see that Sibuna along with Willow and Mara were there. Eddie knocked on his dad's office door for them, after little Sarah was introduced to everyone, and they were ready.
Mr. Sweet opened the door, and before he said anything, Mara whispered into Nina's ear, "I have to tell you something later."
Since everyone couldn't fit in his office, Mr. Sweet just spoke to them outside of it. He actually took a moment to greet his granddaughter, and then spoke about the matter.
"I'm pleased this many of you could make it," Mr. Sweet smiled. "The new term begins in less than a month, and we need some mentors." He clamped his hands together.
"Why? Why now?" Eddie asked his father.
"It-well it was a suggestion-" Mr. Sweet began.
"-by me," spoke another man, stepping out of Mr. Sweet's office.
He had light brown hair and piercing green eyes. He was pretty tall in height and very slim, and was at least ten years older than Nina, Eddie, and the others.
"Should I know him?" Alfie whispered, leaning into Fabian's ear.
"Not yet," Mr. Sweet continued, overhearing him. "This is Daniel Perry. He'll be teaching the new Egyptian mythology course here, and when he arrived, he had so many suggestions, this being one of them. To invite former students to mentor."
"Why us though?" Joy asked.
"I went through the past years of students here, also viewing you all by house, and I found you to be the most...eye-catching bunch," Mr. Perry explained. "Mr. Sweet also informed me his son was part of this house and class, so why not?"
"Ok, but how did you get our addresses?" Jerome questioned.
"I have my ways," Mr. Perry smirked.
"Anyways," Mr. Sweet proceeded, "you all will be staying Anubis house! And your children are welcome as well. Our student body is a bit smaller than it was when you all attended, so we can afford to have an empty house, which will actually serve as on-campus housing for the mentors..."
After further explanation, they were informed they had three days to sign up to participate. They dismissed, and on the way out, Nina and Mara walked beside eachother.
"How's the Chosen One-thing going along?" Nina asked, already knowing what Mara needed to talk about.
"It's not," Mara admitted truthfully. "I discovered my powers were just a temporary thing. I did my research, and you are the one and only true Chosen One. I'll save you from the whole explanation. Countless times I've been told its just a bore."
"Oh," Nina breathed. "Sorry."
"Oh, don't be," Mara smiled. "I couldn't do with all the powers and stuff. They're so...weird. I'd like to stick to being just old, normal Mara."
"Well then," Nina expressed, "I guess it all turned out great then."
Nina stopped at her car, and Mara stopped briefly before going to her own.
"So, are you signing up for this mentoring thing?" Nina questioned.
"Oh, I wish," Mara responded. "Work just keeps me too busy for it. If I did, I'd be on top of all the kids' education at every second, of course."
"I wouldn't doubt it. Bye, Mara."
"Bye, Nina."
Joy caught up to Mara as Nina climber into the passenger seat of her car. Fabian had put Sarah in the back seat and was waiting in the driver's.
"So?" Fabian grinned. "Can we?"
Nina thought a bit. "Only because Sarah can stay."
Fabian cheered.

End of chapter here! Can you believe they have another chance to go back to their old school? That would be strange and kind of cool at the same time. How do you feel about that new teacher, Mr. Perry?
Let's say you were an adult with an independent life-would you take an opportunity to mentor back at school?
And, you now know Mara wasn't really the Chosen One after all as she researched before in the first story of mine.
Until next time, lovely Aristocrats!
