The soulmate thing isn't really the main part of the story but meh.

He's...... OC in this, btw. I just felt like this is what he would do though which is weird.

(Y/n POV)

My name is Y/n L/n. And I'm a sorcerer, not strong, but capable enough to keep herself alive. And I... have been sneaking off to watch a certain dark haired male. That... kills people like me. The sorcerer killer, apparently. And he knows I'm there. He knows and yet he does nothing. He's never even glanced at where I was. He knows I watch him each time he sits, placing bet after bet on all sorts of thing. I shook my head as I shifted in the cozy hammock that I had bought. Pulling the small game system out of the bag that we had all the 'essentials'. I turned the game consul on. Clicking on Genshin Impact, I did all my daily quests and all the commissions that the useless people of each city.

I frowned, and turned the game console off. It was late, and I had 'work tomorrow. So I decided to go to sleep. Little did I know, he was watching. Waiting for me to fall asleep.

(Toji POV)

I stared at the small female figure that laid in the hammock that was suspended high in the tree branches. I don't know who she is. But she... I felt like I knew her. I climbed across the tree branches, before hovering over the small hammock. She was gorgeous. Long/short hair spread around her head. Her hands held close to her chest. Picking up the small backpack that hung on a tree branch, I sorted through it. Picking out the game console and clicking on the game that had flashed in my eyes earlier that day. Genshin Impact...
Childish. "So you finally decided to show yourself." The girls (e/c) eyes where open, and staring at me. I was frozen. Then where was a knife to my throat. "Are you... here to kill me." A statement, not a question. "No." Her eyes narrowed. "Your the one that is following me. Are you trying to kill me?" I asked as she slowly lowered the knife. But still held it with a tight grip. Her eyes slipped down to his hands, where he was still holding the game console. "NO!" She yelled, scrambling to grab the console out of his hands. I held the console out and over the edge of the branches, so if it plummeted, it would break, as soon as it hit the ground. "Uh, please give me that back." The girl said, making grabby hand motions. "No." I said. Her eyes where panicked. "I'll give it back if you do 2 things for me." I said, eyeing the woman who had all her mussels tense.
"And those are?" She asked. "1. Your name. 2. Stop following me." "..." She frowned... before leaping out of the hammock and started to fall to the ground. Before snapping her hand out and grabbing onto a strong branch, and stood on the branch. "Y/n. Grade 1 sorcerer. And fine, I'll stop following you." Y/n said, hands on her hips. "Toji Fushiguro, if you didn't know." Y/n raised an eyebrow. "Did I ask? No. Now give me my console back." Y/n growled, eyeing me. I sighed deeply, before jumping a few branches, and tentatively leaning back towards her, but then dropped it, and it started to fall towards the ground. "YOU BASTARD!" Y/n yelled, before diving after it. I watched as she dived after it, and I took the chance to leave. I would start to follow her, and not the the other way around.

(Y/n POV)

I got the game console, tucking myself around it, as I slammed into the ground. "YOU BASTARD!!! I'LL KILL YOU FOR THAT!" I yelled, but when i looked u, tears blurring my eyes, I saw I could not see the form of Toji Fushiguro. I sighed, letting the anger burn out. I climbed back up to the hammock.

After packing my bag, I looked around. "Fushiguro(Toji), if your watching me, which is very unlikely, I forgive you." I crossed my arms, huffing as I started walking. Out of the forest.

Sitting in the cave I had found. Resting my head against the cold wall of the cave, I feel asleep. Trying not to think about the strange black haired male that I almost hoped was following me.

The nightmares came almost immediately. Crashing down on the sweet dreams i was having. They felt... paralyzing. Until someone shook me awake.

(Toji POV)

I shook the small form of Y/n. She was shaking, and was cold as ice. At first i thought she was died, or something. Her eyes shot open, tears falling from them.
Y/n looked up, her eyes widened as we made eye contact. "Why are you-" I cut her off, covering her mouth with my hand. "Don't." I warned. She glanced up at me through her lashes, and blinked once. "If I let you talk, don't ask something weird." She nodded. I slowly moved my hand away. "Um... Why where you following me?" I shot her a look. "Didn't i just say no weird questions?" Y/n frowned. "That wasn't a weird question. It was a sensible one." Suddenly a sharp pain shot through my head, and apparently Y/n felt it too. She fell forwards, and groaned. A 3 second image of my face shot through my head. And I turned to see Y/n staring up at me. Eyes wide. "No no no no NO."Y/n muttered, tearing at her hair, sitting up. "He died he died why am I seeing me through your eyes." Y/n whispered. "He was murdered..... no" Y/n looked up at me again. "You.... Why you?" I shook my head. "To be honest, I didn't think I would get another." I said, shrugging. Y/n took a breath. In then out.

       "Sit down. Please. I... want to get
                          to know you."
