5 -Cuddling-

Rae

After we cut up and roasted the jaguar or as I like to call it; "edible Murphy." He gave them out on sticks for wristbands. I didn't exactly agree with it. But, I didn't really have a say in the matter. After helping I grabbed two sticks. Bid the two boys goodbye and headed to the drop-ship. I put the end of the sticks in my mouth while I climbed the latter. Once up I saw Jasper on a table. Monty in the corner tinkering at something and Clarke and Finn I knew were near the fire. And then I spotted O. I sat next to her, leaning on the metal wall. I hand her the other stick.
"Come on, you gotta eat." I tell her. Taking a bite out of my own meat. It was delicious. Octavia seeing how much I liked it took a bite out of hers and we were done less then five minutes later.
"So, wanna tell me what's up between you and my brother?" Octavia says shifting so that her side was against the wall and her green eyes were looking directly at me. Shifting myself as well so our bodies faced each other.
"I don't know. I haven't done anything with anyone since I was with your brother. And I didn't break up with him because I don't like him it's just- so"
"Complicated?" She says finishing my sentence I nod.
"I love your brother with all my heart. That never went away. But when he- he" I took a deep breath trying not to cry. Octavia held my hand and I squeezed it lightly. "When I found out he slept with that girl, I hated it. I didn't think it was just so easy to do that. And I thought he still wanted to be with me." I look into Octavia's eyes searching for an answer.
"I know you still love him. It's going to be hard seeing him like that. But I'll help you." I smiled warmly at her and pulled her in for a hug. When we stayed that way for awhile I pulled Octavia so that she laying in between my legs. Her head resting on my stomach and her back on the ground. I started playing with her hair. Knowing how much she loved it and humming to her.
"I missed you so much O. I love you." I said kissing the top of her head. And continuing to hum, watching as she slowly drifted to sleep.
"You know I may not know you. But, you seem like such a great friend to her." Monty says lowly trying not to wake Octavia up. Obviously seeing our entire interaction.
"I love Octavia like a mother. And treat her like my sister. When I met her I knew we would be inseparable. She is my best friend. I would die for her." I tell him surprising myself by what I just told him.
"I'm the same. I love Jasper like I would love a brother. And would die for him too." He says as he glances at his friend solemnly.
"It must be so hard to see him like this." I look closely at him.
"It is." I nod knowing what it's like.
"By the way I'm Rae."
"Believe me I know who you are." I arch a brow. Seeing my confused expression. "Rumors."
"Ahh. Care to share with the class?"
"Haha. Well, I hear your a mechanic" he lifts up a wristband. "I could use your help on these. And I also here you have medical experience from Clarke." I nod my head confirming. "And I hear you and Bellamy used to date." He says much lower then anything else he's said.
"We'll that's true. Key word though used."
Monty chuckles, and stares at me.
"Okay then, thanks for the heart to heart Mont. I'm going to try and sleep it's not everyday I get such a good blanket." I smile and after he says goodnight. I move slightly moving Octavia so she's next to me. My hand under her head and my head on my jacket that I'm using as I pillow. I pull her closer and she wraps her arms around my waist. God I missed my little sister. Kissing her head that was now resting on my chest I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

Clarke

After eating with Finn and meeting Charlotte I head back up the ladder to Jasper. I look around the room and see Monty in his usual corner. And Jasper on the table moaning lowly. What peaks my interest is Rae holding Octavia to her, both of them sleeping peacefully. I smiled at the thought of someone one day holding me with such love.
"They're so cute." I say, looking over Jaspers wound.
"I know." Monty says fan-girling with me. "I heard that Rae was a really good mechanic. I want her help on these." Monty tells me holding up the dead wristband.
"I know. But, we'll ask in the morning. I can also ask her advice on Jasper." I sigh.
"She's super smart isn't she."
"Yeah she really is." Nodding my head as I say so. "I wonder who she's a descendant of."
"Why would that make a difference?" Monty questions me.
"I don't know. Just a gut feeling."
"Hmm."
"Well I'll be back in the morning to check on him again."
"Ok goodnight Clarke."
"Night Monty."
As I hit the floor on the ground level of the drop ship I saw Bellamy. He came up to me.
"Hey have you seen Octavia?"
"Yeah she's up there."
"Oh great, I need to speak to her." I put my hand on his chest stopping him from climbing up the ladder. He gives me a face.
"She's asleep Bellamy. And so is Rae." I see his eyes melt at the mention of her name. But I don't understand that. He sleeps with girls but, loves Rae?
"Am I not allowed to go see them?" He questions.
"No it's not that. It's just they're all cuddled up and I'm scared you'll wake them up. Neither of them seem to have slept in awhile."
Bellamy nods his head and heads out. Telling Murphy that Rae is asleep. And I head over to my tent. To get some much needed sleep.

Rae

Fun fact waking up to moans is not a good way to wake up. Rubbing my eyes and lifting my head to see that Monty is asleep. Which most likely means it's still night. Carefully moving my hand from under O. I move her head onto my jacket that I used as a pillow. And kissed her forehead, heading down the hatch, to sit by the fire and relax since I can't sleep.
At the fire it's warm, which is nice since I don't have my jacket. Watching the embers of the fire flicker and dance. It's amazing. The crackling of the fire, the flame raising and lowering. Until someone plops there body right next to mine.
