Bellamy

After meeting back up with Murphy, Monroe, and Sterling. I tell Finn to tell the two girls of Rae's deaths and I was to tell Murphy. Looking at Murphy I put my hand on his shoulder and gesture to the empty drop ship. He nods and we walk in together.
"Hey you good man? You look super sad." He looks at me with concern and then I drop down to the ground. Tears pooling in my eyes. Still raw of her death. Murphy most likely from seeing my face sits down across from me.
"Uhm, well," my voice cracking. "Rae, she's- she's gone." Murphy looks at me. Seeing how I was far from joking. Starts to cry. Silently sobbing, at the loss of his best friend. "She saved me and Finn." He looks down at his hands, his body shaking. "She wanted me to give you this." He looks up at me through his cries and i reach into my pocket. Confusion masking his features but, when I pull out the ball. And hand it to him. His hands moving slowly to take it. But once it's in his hands he breaks down. No longer silent, and with the best I can do I put an arm on his shoulder. Squeezing it before leaving to give him his space.

I never knew what that ball was. Or what it meant to Murphy and Rae. But, ever since that day Murphy has never left that ball out of his sight. Keeping it in his jacket pocket and squeezing it whenever he feels anxious, sad, or depressed, when he feels lonely. No one ever questioned it because it was his.
