It was around midnight and i was in bed while lando was cradling Everett. Delanie had finally fallen asleep. they were three months old now and they are usually good sleepers but Everett wasnt feeling the good sleeper vibe check. It was also the first race of the season in the morning so i knew if Ev wasnt going to sleep soon, i would have to switch with him because he needs the rest.

"land" i whishpered, "is he asleep?"

"Yeah i just dont want to disturb him." he said as he slowly put him in his crib.

he came back to bed and cuddled me. "i cant believe we are parents." he said as we both giggled quietly as to not wake up the twins.

"well believe it because we are."

"but how are we parents A?"

"well when a man and woman love eac-" i started as he softly hit me.

"alright i get it." he said as we both chuckled.

we kept talking for a littlee bit until we saw it was 1:30 and i was going to need to feed the twins soon. i told lando he needed to rest for the race and he reluctantly agreed. i got out of bed and looked in Delanie's crib to see that she was wide awake.

"hey sweet girl." i whispered as i picked her up to breastfeed her. right as she started eating i just looked at her and realized how surreal having twins is. I looked at her and she had so many features of me and lando.

"sweetheart, you will never know how much your daddy and i adore and love you. you are our miracle along with your brother." i talked to her as i hadn't noticed that lando was leaning against the wall as it was somehow 7 am. i could talk to my babies for hours.
