It wasn't so sunny this morning. In fact, the clouds were looking quite threatening as if rain would poor down any moment. Well, England was known for its unpredictable weather.
The Cafe looked rather gloomy from the outside, but when you would enter it, you would be engulfed in the warm atmosphere so much that you wouldn't want to leave in such weather.
"Two Concealers," Angelina said, scribbling down in her notebook. "Since your skin-tone is lighter than Hiba's. You simply cannot any longer use your sister's." She gestured with the hand she was holding the pen in the air. "It doesn't make any sense," she added.
"No-one can tell," Hira said, walking over to their table. "And why are you writing my shopping list?"
Angelina raised her eyebrows. "I'm bored," she replied simply, and went back to her scribbling.
"Oh," Hira muttered, leaning her chin in her hand. "Thanks."
"No problem-o, girl," Angelina laughed. "Want to make a list? Lina's the girl for you."
"Hey, you could make your own website!" Hira said jokingly, bringing her hands above her and moving them into an upside 'C'. "Angelina's List Service!"
Angelina nodded. "Couldn't have thought of a better idea," she said.
They both high-fived each other excitedly, laughing.
Hira stood up to go, when she stopped to look down at her friend, who was now playing notes and crosses with herself. "You know that it was a joke, right?" she said warily.
"Yeah," Angelina said, looking up from her notebook.
Hira mouthed an 'O'. "Still, you a really good list-maker!" she cried suddenly.
"I know!" Angelina giggled.
"Girls, girls, girls," Jared said, coming opening the door from the kitchen. "Start preparing the cutlery on the reserved tables first, would ya? Don't forget the rest of 'em. Then get ready to open up officially in half an hour."
"OK," the girls replied in unison.
He popped back inside, closing the door.
"He is so gorgeous," Angelina sighed dreamily.
"By the way," he said popping back out again, "I'll be off in about thirty minutes, so make sure to close up at five, and leave carefully. Understand?"
"Alright," Hira nodded, as he left the room again.
Hira smiled at her friend's behaviour, poking her shoulder. "Aw, Lina's in lurrrve!" she teased.
"Perhaps you're right, Lily, perhaps you're right," Angelina teased back.
"Oh, please. I don't know why my mum even calls me that," Hira pouted, shaking her head.
"I say, she should've named you Lily!" Angelina exclaimed, raising her fist. "Lily, Lily, Lily! Go, Lily, go!"
"Not funny..."
"Oh, yes, it is!"
Hira raised her eyebrows and shook her head slowly.
Angelina's shoulders drooped slightly. "Wow, you're not in a hyper mood today, are you?" It was more of a statement.
"That's what happens when you haven't had a can of fizzy-pop!"
