Rigby"So when are you guys going to leave?"
June and I were eating lunch at The Bunk Off before Harry and I went Christmas shopping. It had been a couple weeks since my wisdom teeth were taken out, coincidentally a couple weeks since Niall and I have literally been inseparable.
But that asshole still hasn't made a move.
It's fine.
I still can't get over how he treated me when I was at his place, it literally replays in my mind on a loop daily. We won't even talk about how the flowers are in my apartment, pressed in between the pages of a heavy book trying to make them last as long as I could.
"I booked our flights for the twenty third, then we will come back on the twenty seventh. So we'll just be gone a few days." I said dipping my fry in the ranch.
She took a bite of her burger, covering her mouth as she chewed and nodded at me. "Are you staying with your parents?"
Taking a bite, I shook my head before swallowing. "No, god no. I booked us both our own hotel rooms, it's really nice and only like a fifteen minute drive from their house."
"Damn, here I was hoping you'd end up in the same bed." She rolled her eyes, sending me a wink. "You really didn't even kiss when you were at his place? Weren't you there, like, an extra day?"
"Yes! He asked me to stay another night, slept on the couch, and was just as touchy as he always is during the day." I told her.
She hummed, nodding as she pushed her plate away from her and leaned her elbows on the table. "You know, you could just make a move."
She was right, I could.
But for some reason I just couldn't do it. Even after all of the stuff that happened on Halloween.
"So, are we still doing the Christmas party at your house?" Desperately attempting to change the topic, I brought up the one thing I knew June couldn't pass up.
Talking about Christmas.
Her eyes were wide with excitement as she began to tell me about all the plans.
June always held a Christmas party and did a small gift exchange, this year inviting Harry, Margo, and of course Niall. According to June, we would all meet at her place on the twenty second — the day before Niall and I left — because everyone was going to different places for the holidays this year.
"Have you gotten Niall anything yet or is that why you are going with Harry?" Standing up, we made our way to the bar where Harry was busying himself with stocking glasses.
Blowing out a breath, I threw my hands up dramatically. "No! I literally have no clue what to get him."
"You could always just fuck him, call it good." She shrugged, laughing as I nudged her in the side.
"Shut up, oh my god. No."
"Hello, ladies!" The deep British accent brought both of us out of our mini argument, looking up at him as he stood in a Mickey Mouse sweater.
"Hey Harry, how are you?" Resting her bag over her shoulder and buttoning her coat, June sent him a smile.
He ran his hand through his usual messy chestnut curls, a smile still on his face showcasing his two front teeth and dimple. "Good. Ready to go?"
I nodded and said goodbye to June, pulling on my hooded sweater and looking at Harry. A few days ago I texted him about helping me out with picking out a gift for Niall. Of course I wanted to get him something for the Christmas party at June's house, but I also wanted to get him something to open at my parents house so he wouldn't feel awkward or anything.
