RigbyI guess if I die, this will have been a fun ride in the game of life.
Letting Niall blindfold me in the car so that there was no way to tell where in the actual hell he was taking me seemed like a good idea at the time, however, now I was starting to rethink my decision.
His fingers were tracing patterns across my palm as he drove, singing to the music that was on shuffle.
"Who sings this song?" Turning to him I asked the question, even though my ass couldn't even see his face.
Which, that alone was a crime.
I could hear him scoff. "Are you joking with me right now? You're telling me you didn't know this song was Taylor Swift?"
"So Taylor Swift sings this?" Ignoring him and asking my question, waiting for his response.
"Yes."
Biting my bottom lip briefly, I blindly turned to him again. "Then we should let her sing it."
I could hear him roll his eyes. "Okay, well it's not like you sound any better. You really didn't know this was Taylor?"
"Yes, dummy. Of course I know this is Taylor." Relaxing back in my seat, I heard the rhythmic sound of the blinker before the car came to a smooth stop. "Okay, clover. Ready to get that blindfold off?"
Humming, I leaned back in my seat. "I dunno, it's kind of kinky. I like it."
Laughing, I heard him blow out a breath and mumble something that my ears couldn't quite pick up. "Come on, let's get you out of here before I lose my fucking mind."
Sitting in my seat, I waited for him to come around and open the door before taking my elbow and helping me out of the car and hopefully not guiding me to a near imminent death.
I could feel and hear gravel underneath my feet, making me more nervous the longer we walked and feeling the slightest bit better when a door opened and Niall ushered me inside.
The suspense was driving me fucking crazy for not knowing where we were—where he had managed to take me, wanting to always be in the know was something Niall knew that I craved.
"Um, two for Horan please?"
His voice brought me out of my thoughts as I strained to be able to hear anything that could give it away.
A woman's voice rang out in the silence. "Ah! Perfect, here you go. You'll just go through those doors there and have fun!"
Something metal was banging against another metal object, the annoying sound the only thing I could hear as Niall led me by the small of my back through a door, one that sounded heavy.
"Okay." I jumped when his lips met mine in a gentle kiss, feeling him smile against me at my surprise — pressing another two kisses to my lips. Turning me around, my back to his chest, his arms wrapped around my waist. "I know you said that you didn't want to celebrate your accomplishment.. So don't kill me but..."
I felt him loosen the tie he had used as a blindfold, unable to stop the smile that spread across my lips at what was laid out before me.
"I wanted to celebrate you, Rigby. You deserve it because you work harder than anyone I know and you are so incredibly intelligent, beautiful, and god you are annoyingly hilarious." The stubble on his cheeks brushed against my smooth skin as he pulled me closer, still with my lips parted in shock.
We were standing in the middle of a mini golf course.
Not just any mini golf course, but one lit up with black lights that seemed to stretch on forever inside of the building. There had to be at least fifty different stops along the course, all of them covered in lights and with a different theme.
