Chapter Thirteen

Episode Five (Midsummers)
Part one

After what had happened yesterday , i stayed with Kiara's. Today i woke up and picked up my shit to walk to the Château. I get there and there is a random car.

"Hey!" I hear a voice from behind me but before I could run they grab me.

"I didn't do it." I start and realize it is JJ.

"Ok be quiet." He tells me "some is here to get John B. I don't know who but we take our chances. We are going to wait for John okay?"

"Yeah sure." I tell and see the bruises on his face. "It didn't go well?" I question

"30 grand in restitution" he tells me

"Holy shit." I say a little to loud. He pulls me in close to him and ducks so no one will see us. "There is John B" i tell JJ and point to the other side.

"Okay we have to go." He takes my hand and we run over there. He grabs John B covering his mouth. No the best idea. John be gets him on the ground and sees it is just JJ.

"What are yo-" he say very loud and i put my hand over his mouth. JJ pulls him up to show him the sketchy car

"See that?" He points "they are watching us , okay?"

" who?" John B asks

"We don't know" I tell him.

"Let's go sneak around to the dock. " JJ says taking a lead. I follow behind him and John follows me. "Gotta go this way." He says.

We walk into the marsh, both of the boys putting theirs bags overtop of their heads. We Make our way around to find the HMS Pouge and we all jump in. Staying as far out of sight as possible.

JJ unhooked the boat from the dock and john B started it. We got out of their very quick.

"First we almost get strangled to death by kooks. And now i am on the hook for 30 grand. We should just dip." JJ says talking to the the both of us.

"Okay, where do you want to go? Hm?"

"Yucatan." JJ and I say at the same time.
Our dream ever since JJ taught me how to surf is go on a surf trip to Yucatan.

"Yucatan." John B scoffs.

"No , I'm dead serious right now. Surf all day, and then we can just live off lobster we catch with our bare hands." JJ tell John B.

"JJ you just want to leave cause you got your ass beat?"

"You didn't see the photos." JJ says

"Think about it. They're willing to kill for the gold, then It has gotta be out there." John Says

"Have you lost your mind?" I question.
"100 years guys. One hundred years , people have been trying to find this Royal Merchant, and no one succeeded. And you think you are going to be the one who actually finds it? When will you get it in your thick skull? If you keep going down this road your going to end up just like your dad!" I yell at John B who still some how believes.

"I cant give up Anna." He pushes me back. "The time I saw the dude we got in an argument and then he took all our our rent money and dipped for this Royal Merchant. And them I told him he was a shit father, and you know how the rest of the story goes." He tells me

"It wasn't your fault." I tell John B

"It doesn't matter whose fault it is , Julianna!" He shouts "do you not understand that? I can't give up on the hunt, Anna. I don't care who's out there, who's gonna try to kill us. Do you understand that? You know that." He said walking away with JJ following.
