The bus rumbled softly. Eventually coming to a complete stop. I walked off the bus to be greeted by a man in pants and a green T-shirt that said Camp Forest on it. "Well howdy happy camper!" The man said with a big smile, "Welcome to Camp Forest!"
"Ya i'm glad to be here" I replied with a fake smile. "Ugh how'd I ever get into this mess" I whisper to myself.
-----2 Hours Earlier-----
"KC can you come help with the groceries please!" I look back at my mom as she carries in bags of food.
"Just a minute mom!" I turn back towards the TV and continue to watch my show.
My mom comes and sits next to me on the couch "Sweetie I asked you to come help me."
"I know I said in a minute." I continued to keep my focus on the show.
My mom let out a sigh "It may be time to start thinking about sending you to camp..."
"CAMP!" I whipped my head around to face her. "You can't send me to camp!"
"It'll be for the best dear. It'll make you more responsible." she rubbed my leg trying to grab my attention.
"Mom please anything but camp." I tried giving her my best puppy dog eyes but I think she saw right through them.
"I'm sorry KC it's decided, you're going to camp." And with that she got up and walked into the other room to start putting the groceries away.
Camp! I can't go to camp. I have to get out of this!
-----Present-----
"My name is Andrew, I'll be your group leader this summer." The bus doors closed and it drove off. I watched as it disappeared into the distance then looked up at Andrew. "Why don't you come with me, I'll show you your group and sleeping quarters." Andrew turned and started walking into the camp.
"Well I guess I should just go, I'll escape during the night when everyone is sleeping." With that I walked into the camp unaware of the dangers it held inside.
(Don't blame me I know this beginning is bad but I wrote this awhile ago and decided to come back to it. Anyway I wanted to give y'all something other than the Prologue so here it is. 🙂🙂)
