Fears...they are monsters, they haunt us and try to hurt us from the inside.
Around 5pm the other campers came back and the camp filled with voices. I continued to look through the photos. "If something is out there it might not be the best idea to run away in the dead of night." I fall back on to my bed looking up at the ceiling. "This wasn't the plan...I was supposed to find the blueprints, pack my bags, and get the hell out of here." Tears fall on to the pillow as I cry softly. "I wasn't even supposed to come here!" I let out a loud painful yell that echoed through the cabin. More tears fall from my eyes as I lay on the cold empty bed.
I hear footsteps walk up to the cabin, the cabin door opens slowly and a sweet looking girl walks in. I watch her come up to me and sit on my bed next to me. I sniffle quietly as she begins to talk.
"I heard you scream. Are you ok?" She gives me a caring look and brushes my hair out of my face.
"It's just none of my plans are playing out how I wanted them too..." She gives a soft nod, grabs a towel, and proceeds to clear my face of the tears.
"W-who are you?" I say hesitantly.
"Oh pardon me for not introducing myself." She stands up and places the towel on the table beside my bed.
"I am Eliza. Excuse my recent actions. People refer to me as a mother figure so I've just kind of taken that role here at the camp." She smiles softly at me and I blush softly.
"So you like...take care of the kids here? Aren't you a kid yourself?"
Eliza giggles, "Yes hun I am a kid and no I don't take care of the kids here. That's the adults job but I give the kids support and help them if they are feeling down. You'd be surprised how many kids get home-sick. If that's all darlin I think I should head out now that you feel better" Eliza turns and heads for the door.
"Wait!"
Eliza turns to face me. "Yes?"
"Do you know of any hauntings or monsters? Maybe missing kids?"
She stares at me blankly for a while.
"Eliza??" She blinks and turns back towards the door.
"Of course not dear...why would I..." She quickly walked out the door and disappeared into the crowd of kids in the camp.
"Weird...I can't help but wonder if she does know." I sit up on the bed and look at my phone. "I need to know more about this camp. About what has been going on and why Eliza blanked out when I asked her those questions. Guess I won't be leaving this dump anytime soon." I let out a soft laugh and walked out of the cabin.
(Honestly I hated this chap but I needed to post something. It's so crappy but I don't really want to redo it sorry :'( Also yes I know this was short. Okay so just a heads up I did make a new "book" called 'Updates'. I'll write little things on there cause honestly I just wanna be real with y'all. For example, if something comes up and I can't post new chapters then I'll tell y'all there. Besides that I'll see you guys next week for another chap!)
