The funny thing about death is that it comes at unlikely times. It's like a surprise party, you never know when it's going to happen.

Walking into the cafeteria I notice that there aren't many adults and that you serve your own food. I see Andrew sitting at a table with 7 other kids.

"Oh, welcome KC. Nice of you to finally join us." Andrew says standing up.

I nod my head and start walking towards him.

"Gang this is KC she'll be in your group with you." I look at the kids examining them carefully.

"Nice to meet you all. I'm sure we'll have a great time together!" I smiled then sat down. Ugh I already hate this, but it'll be alright I'm getting out of here tonight. I kept to myself for the rest of lunch, not really talking to my group.

After lunch the group went down to the river to find fish and examine them. I decided to explore a bit more seeing where exactly everything is. I came across this cabin with the words CAMP DIRECTOR labeled on it.

"I guess the person who runs the camp lives there. They might have a blue print of the camp! That'll be helpful for later tonight." I slowly make my way up the stairs to the cabin door. "I wonder if anyone is home. They might be at the river with the other campers. Guess there's only one way to find out..." I knock on the door, stepping back a bit. With no response I knock again a bit louder this time. I wait a few minutes but with still no response I walk inside the cabin. "Hello?" I look around seeing papers on a very messy desk with an open computer. I walk towards the desk trying to not trip on the books on the floor. "Guess this person has never heard of cleaning." I sit down on the chair that lies facing the window. I turn it around to where it faces the desk and get to work. "What kind of dummy would leave their computer open and unlocked?" I start going through the computer finding only appointments and plans for the campers. "This is pointless! I've been here for 10 minutes and so far I've found nothing!" I bang my hand on the desk and the computer opens a file titled Camp Prints. My attention is focused on this file. After about a minute of just staring at it I start scrolling. "The blueprints they're here! I need to take a picture of this." I go to grab my phone and take a few pictures of it. Not a few seconds after doing so I hear voices outside and footsteps coming up the stairs. "Shoot, I need to hurry!" I start taking photos as I scroll. Eventually I hear the door open and I close the file and hide behind a door.

"Rene you know I trust you but you have to keep that creature away from here!" A man walks in with a lady right behind him.

"I am trying sir but it keeps making it past our traps. It somehow knows where they are and moves around them."

"I don't care how it does it, I care that it stays out of my camp. I don't need the campers worrying or even worse being hurt because you can't keep it away!"

"I am doing everything I can James! How about you go out there and keep it away!" Silence fills the room as the two stare at each other.

"...Rene, how many times must I tell you to not use my real name! If you can't keep that creature away then you have no use to me!"

I peek out from behind the door to see him hit her across the face. "This is your last warning..." James turns to walk upstairs and Rene walks out the door, a red mark already starting to appear on her face.

This is my chance to get out of here! I start making my way to the door and open it slowly. I make sure no one is around then I make a run for it towards the cabins. I run inside of mine and climb on to my bed. Still processing what I just did I pull out my phone and look at the pictures I got. Although one thing continued to stay on my mind. What was the creature they were talking about and why were they so worried about it hurting us?

(There's your long chapter 😌. Lol I don't know why James is so mean but I mean hey it adds to the ✨DRAMA✨. Also sorry I posted it late, ngl I forgot about this 😅. Until next time fellow humans! And I didn't spell check this so my apologies if there are mistakes.)
