Daniel and I spent the four hours between three and seven training continuously. We practiced our balance, sparring, kicks, blocks, punches, everything we would need for the tournament.

I was exhausted when it was over but I knew the boys really wanted to go to the party, so nonetheless I showered and pulled on a black minidress and curled my hair. I smiled as a knock sounded, opening the door to reveal Johnny.

"Hey, Johnny." I greeted him as I kissed him. "Bye, mom! I'm leaving!" I called before following Johnny down to his car. "We're gonna pick up the others on the way." He said and I nodded.

We made our way to get the others in silence, simply enjoying one another's company. "Who's ready to party?!" Tommy yelled as he entered the car, Bobby, Dutch, and Jimmy right behind him.

I just simply smiled. "You okay?" Johnny asked as the four boys in the back began drinking the beers Tommy had brought. "Yeah, I'm just tired," I admitted. "We don't need to go to the party, Lia." He assured. "No, I know they're really excited about it so I wanna go," I replied.

"Okay, but if you get too tired let's just leave, okay?" He asked. "Okay," I replied as he pulled up to the house. Once there we all got out and made our way up the steps and into the large house.

Music blared and the house was filled with teenagers and it wreaked of BO and alcohol. I scrunched my nose slightly at the smell, pushing between the boys to get to the kitchen where it was much less crowded.

"Are you going to drink tonight, Johnny?" I asked. "No." He replied as he placed his head softly above mine. "Why not?" I asked. "So I can take you home." He replied as if it were obvious.

"But you did that last time. Let me drive us home." I suggested, feeling like I was burdening Johnny from having fun. "No, it's okay. You have fun." He said softly. "But don't you wanna have fun, Johnny?" I asked confused.

"Not right now. Not here." He said. "Why?" I asked confused. "I don't want to get drunk when you're here, I don't wanna risk me not being able to protect you as well as I can sober." He admitted.

"Aw Johnny... We can leave, go to your house and just have fun together." I said hurriedly, not wanting him to waste his night on me. "It's okay, Lia. You can have a drink. Plus you're funny when you're drunk." He said and the two of us laughed.

"Your sure?" I asked. "100 percent." He replied. I smiled up at him before turning and grabbing one of the red solo cups and filling it with a clear liquid sitting on the counter.

I downed the glass before going back towards Johnny. "Dance with me?" I asked. "I don't know, Lia. There's a lot of people." He said as he eyed the packed living room.

"Then we can go outside. With how loud the music is I'm sure we could still hear it." I said as I grabbed his hand and pulled him through the crowd and out the large back doors.

I looked over the large patio, a nice outdoor furniture set and a large pool adorned it. I pulled him outside and left the door slightly open so the music still poured out onto the backyard.

A slow song came on and I smiled up at Johnny as he wrapped his arms around my waist, my arms instinctively going around his neck. We danced for a little while, my head resting upon his chest.

I smiled widely, him looking down at me in confusion. "What?" Johnny asked me, eyebrows furrowed. "Oh, nothing," I said as I pulled out of his arms. He opened his mouth to reply but I quickly pushed him into the pool.

He quickly pushed himself to the surface of the water, shaking the water from his hair before glaring at me. "The opportunity was too good not to take!" I said laughing. "I would say I'd get you back, but I won't have to." He said and I looked at him in confusion but before I could say anything my body plunged into the freezing water.

I gasped for air as my head came out from under the water, quickly turning to see it was Tommy who had pushed me. "Tommy! Seriously?" I said as I swam over to the edge. "Help me out, will you?" I said holding my hand out to him.

He rolled his eyes but grabbed my hand anyways. Before he could pull me out I quickly yanked his hand, causing him to fall face-first into the water.

"Did you not learn from the first time?" I asked, referring back to when I pulled him down that one day in PE. He glared at me but the two of us began laughing after a few seconds.

"Pool party!" A voice suddenly yelled and I quickly covered my eyes as a head of bright blonde hair flew towards the water, the splash hitting me straight in the face. "Really Dutch," I muttered as tens of people began running to the huge pool.

Not wanting to be a part of the commotion any longer, I quickly got out of the pool. Before I could even step into the house a warm towel wrapped around my shoulders.

I turned to see Johnny standing behind me with a smile. The water in his hair dripped onto his forehead and the shirt stuck to his chest. "Sorry for pushing you into the water," I said jokingly as I pushed myself against him to wrap the towel around the both of us.

"It's okay. It was fun while it lasted." He said with a fond smile. "Yeah, of course, Dutch had to ruin it." I said jokingly, "I mean, there's like a thousand people here and he decides to yell pool party."

The two of us laugh at the stupidity of our friend as we would through the now much less full mansion. "Let's head home," I said. "Okay. My home or your home?" Johnny asked.

"Let's go to mine," I replied and he nodded as the two of us got into his car. "What about the others?" I questioned as Johnny pulled into the road, just now remembering they rode here with us.

"They'll probably end up staying the night there. If not they'll find rides or they all live within a few minute walk." He replied and I nodded.

A few minutes later the two of us pulled into the parking lot of the apartment and he stopped the car before the two of us made our way to the stairs and to my apartment door.

"Oh! Hey Johnny. Are you staying the night tonight?" Mom asked as the two of us walked in. "If that's okay with you, of course." He said politely. "Of course, hun." She replied nonchalantly before the two of us went into my room.

A/N:
Gosh... it's been exactly two months since I last uploaded. I'm really sorry for not being very active, i've had a lot of testing for school recently but I'm gonna try to finish this story soon. AND 8,000 views? I'm very intimidated lmao. There are only going to be a few chapters left, I think the championship will be in the next chapter or the one after that. I hope you guys are enjoying the book though.
