"Jeez," I mumbled as Johnny and I pulled up to Barbra's house. Her house was huge, there were tens of cars parked along the street and in the driveway.
We stepped out is the car and went into the house, it was packed full of people from our school dancing, talking, some doing... more than talking.
We quickly walked through the crowd to find the boys, Johnny's hand not leaving mine. "Hey, guys." I greeted as we finally found them, all of them holding red solo cups. "Hey!" they greeted as Tommy handed me a cup.
"What is it?" I asked. "I'm not sure, but it's strong." He said as he handed Johnny one, him refusing it. I smelt it, my face scrunching at the smell. I took a deep breath before lifting the cup and drinking it in one go, better to get it over at once than in intervals.
"Jeez, Lia," Tommy said as he refilled the cup. I ignored his comment as I spotted Ali and Daniel, quickly downing my cup, handing it to Johnny before going towards them.
"Ali!" I said as I hugged her. "Lia! Oh wow, you're drunk." She said with a laugh. "I'm not drunk yet." I laughed as she and Daniel grabbed a cup, me following in suit. We talked for a few minutes as we drank.
After a few moments, I could feel the alcohol kicking in, suddenly my body began tingling and I wanted to dance. "Dance with me." I slurred as I grabbed Ali's hand and pulled her to where a large group of drunk teens was dancing.
She laughed as the two of us danced together, me spinning her then dipping her. "I need to use the restroom," I said and she nodded before making her way back to Daniel.
"Ooh, what's this?" I asked as Johnny handed me a glass. "Water. Drink it." He said. "Someone's demanding," I said as I drank the water. "I have to go to the bathroom. Will you walk with me?" I asked, I may have been drunk but I still noticed the eyes on me.
"Of course." He said as he grabbed my hand and guided me to the bathroom. "Where is everyone?" I asked, referring to the boys. "They're out getting some beer. They should be back any minute." He replied as he opened the door to the bathroom.
"You'll wait for me here, right?" I asked. "Course I will." He replied as he smiled down at me. Once I was done I left the bathroom and smiled at Johnny. "Are you not drinking?" I asked. "Not tonight." He replied.
"Why?" I asked. "I need to take you home tonight." He replied. I frowned, "What's wrong?" He asked. "I'm ruining your night, aren't I?" I asked. "No, you're not ruining anything, love. This way I can get you home safe and watch out for you while we're here." He replied and I nearly cried.
"What is it?" He asked as my frown deepened. "You're so sweet," I said as I hugged him. I could tell he wanted to laugh at my reaction but he held it back. "C'mon, I think the boys are here." He said as he wrapped an arm around my waist and lead me away from the bathroom.
