Chapter four

Kuroko point of veiw ~ "Okay now that all of you are here let's start with some passes"Oneesan said "coach aren't we going to do tryouts"Kagami-Kun asked "I already did tryouts this morning and only theses three had the backbone and the drive to finish my training schedule so they are on the team just like you and Testu. The three of them are first years"Oneesan said

"I'm Kōki Furihata"the first boy said Furihata-Kun "I am Kōichi Kawahara"the next boy said Kawahara-Kun "and I am Hiroshi Fukuda"The last boy said Fukuda-Kun. After they introduce themselves we introduce ourselves "okay now for some practice bonding"Oneesan said "Kuroko your my partner right"Kagami-Kun said and I nodded.

"No boys that's not how it's going to work. You will be paired with someone totally different. So Aida tell them their partners"Oneesan said

"Kuroko and Furihata. Kagami and Hyūga. Kawahara and Mitobe. Koganei and Fukuda. Izuki and Tsuchida"Aida-Senpai said listing out the partners "Okay so this how we are going to do it. We are first going to do ten chest passes. Each of you needs to throw it back to each other a total of five times each time the second person gets the ball back you move a step backwards. It's until you have moved a total of five feet away from your original position. Then you will do it again until you are back to your original position. Then you will do the same thing but for bounce passes"Oneesan said

"That sounds easy enough"Kagami-Kun said "but there is a catch. You each have to say one fact about yourself. And your partner needs to say one fact about themselves. You have to ask each other questions. By the end of it you will know a total of forty things about your partner"Aida-Senpai said

"You may choose somewhere to get started"Oneesan said. I walked with Furihata to a section of the gym we were a total of five feet away from one another "my birthday is November 8th. When is your birthday"he asked tossing the ball to me and I caught it "January 31st. My favorite color is blue what is your favorite color"I said tossing him the ball and he caught it.

"You have a strong pass. But my favorite color is purple. Do you have a special skill"he asked tossing me the ball "my special skill is misdirection and passing. Do you have a special skill"I said tossing the ball to him.

"Nope. But what is your position. I want to be point guard"he said tossing me the ball "I don't have a specialize position. Do you have any siblings"I said tossing him the ball. We did this and the bounce passes until we each asked twenty questions each.

This was actually fun and I fell like Furihata-Kun and I are much closer now even though we just met today "okay boys come in a circle ten feet away from me"Oneesan said and that's what we did "what are we going to do now"Kagami-Kun asked

"I am either going to either throw you a chest pass or a bounce pass and you have to tell me two things you learned about your partner. Each thing you tell me will be written down by Aida. And then you will switch partners and do the exercise again until everyone has learned at least two things about each of their teammates and you cannot repeat something someone else has said"Oneesan said

"Coach what is the point in all of this and how long are we going to be doing this for"Kawahara asked "we will be doing similar exercises like this after we do our warm ups, stretches and drills. Tomorrow we will be doing the same thing but with shooting. I will explain more tomorrow. But for this next we you will all be getting to know one another and learning about each other's strengths and weaknesses before you start to practice and play like a team. That way it will be better to communicate since you all will trust each other more"Oneesan said and everyone understood what she was saying.

Oneesan's team is much different then my old one. She wants there to be trust within all of us. And she wants us to rely on one another as well. I like the way this team works.
