Chapter~20

Mark walked into the living room to see Becky eating a banana and watching TV.

"Hey love." Mark said.

Becky turned around and saw Mark. She was suprised. Didn't ma said he would be out the whole day? She thought. She smiled at Mark and hugged him.

"Hey dad,you're back?"

Mark smiled. "Yeah,I just came to check up on you and your mother."

Mark sat down next to Becky. Becky knew that Linda was probably fuming right now because her plan didn't go accordingly.

"What are you watching?" Mark asked,looking at the TV.

"Oh,I'm watching this movie about these two men that have to go and save this little girl who was kidnapped."

Mark leaned back into the couch.

"Rush Hour right?"

Becky nodded.

Mark sat there for about 3 minutes before standing up to go to the kitchen. Becky looked up at him asked," Where are you going?"

"I'm going back to the kitchen love," He stretched before continuing, "My friends are still there. I almost forgot about them."

Becky smiled. She waved at Mark and he waved back.

Once Mark entered the kitchen,he saw his friends talking to each other while Linda was still making lunch.

"Linda,I think we're going step out again for a bit okay?"

Linda's eyes lit up and she nodded.

"Let's go guys." Mark said to his friends.

Linda looked up at Mark's friends and said," If you mess up again-"

But was cut off by Mark yelling outside. Trevor,Austin and John scurried out of the house and followed Mark. A few minutes later,lunch was ready and Becky and Linda were eating outside.

"Since his favourite colour is green,I think we should buy green balloons."

"Good idea,and his favourite cake is Blue Velvet so cake is no problem."

Just as Linda was about to say something,Becky's phone buzzed signalling her that she got a message.
She looked at the phone and ignored it,not wanting to be rude.

Linda tried to look over to see what was that about but she also ignored it.

"Who is that?" Linda asked,taking a but of her lunch.

"Uh," Becky took a look at her phone before answering Linda,"It's my friend."

Linda waved her hand," You can answer it."

Becky smiled at her,mouthed thank you and checked her phone while Linda took out her own.

Becky smiled,put her phone on the table and looked at her mother,"Okay,let's carry on."

After hours of talking,it eventually was evening and Mark hadn't returned yet. Becky was getting worried and Linda was thinking of ways to murder Trevor,Austin and John.

"Ma," Becky said looking at Linda who was watching TV next to her. "When is dad coming back?"

Linda looked at Becky and smiled," He's going to come in through that door any moment now-"

Just before Linda could finish her sentence,Mark walked through the door and locked it behind him.

"Hello! I'm back!" He yelled from the kitchen.

Linda smirked while Becky looked at Linda shocked.

My mum knows the future. Becky hit her herself mentally because she knew what she thought was stupid.

Mark walked into the living room and saw Becky and Linda.

"So," Mark dragged out the 'o'. "I heard you guys were planning a party?"
