Candle

Y/n's POV
I was the first to run back at the casa madrigal and Camilo lost. He still laughing and saying I'm cheating when I don't even have a gift.

"Y/n you're so fast! I can't even catch up with you!" Camilo shouted. "Well it's not my fault that i was born like this." I said shrugging. I'm so happy that i met someone like him, maybe i shouldn't do what i was assigned to do, maybe this is what my future is..

"Y/n! Hey y/n!" Camilo shouted. "Hmm? What are you shouting for?" I asked 'maybe i spaced out'. "You spaced out, is there anything wrong?" He asked worried. "No definitely nothing." I smiled "okay, come on in now let's get ready for dolores and mariano's dinner." He said. 

We entered and cleaned ourselves before we helped, we can't be stinky for a fancy dinner.

Camilo helped Mirabel, and i, usually, helping tia julieta at kitchen. When me and tia julieta finished she asked me one thing. "Lucia, where did you come from? Where's your parents?" She asked. "Well tia julieta, i ran away from home. I cant keep on being a slave at my so called home, im sick of it." I said pretend crying "oh dear, im sorry you have to go through that and experienced that, remember if you need help we'll always be here for you, kay'?" She said smiling. I nodded and we head to the dining room.

'ugh, I don't wanna lie anymore. I want them to know the truth, but i want to have a future' that's right y/n, you have to get your future so that you'll live happy.

After we ate, we got ready for bed. As usual i dress up to my nightgown and sleep.

But this time i think I won't be able to sleep, i need my job done.

I sneak out of Mirabel's room and headed where the candle was. I entered the room where the candle was lighted up, 'its so beautiful up close'.

I held it and attempted to blow the fire away but abuela came out of nowhere. "Lucia, w-what are you doing? Put the candle down!" She said angrily. "No abuela, i need to destroy Encanto! Its the only way for me to have a future! A happy future!" I said crying. "But what about us Lucia, we don't deserve being with a traitor like you! You deceived us and now you're trying to kill us?! What do you want? What do you mean future!!?" She said bursting into tears. Someone came in the room, it was dolores.

"We trusted you Lucia, or should i say y/n" she said "I know who you really are, y/n l/n care to tell us who you're working for?" She said. "I-i don't know what's right for me anymore, i feel like this is wrong-" abuela cut me off. "of course it is wrong!! It's so wrong Lucia! What even crossed your mind for you to do this?!" She said still crying and Dolores consoling her. "I just want to be happy, my dad said that if i destroy Encanto I'll be able to have a happy future the one I've dreamt of." I said collapsing on the floor "i guess i was deceived."

"What's happening here abuela- y/n?! What are you doing with the candle and why are you crying?!" Camilo ran off me "i did my best right? Maybe it's really nice if i just died when i was young." I said before i lost consciousness.

Camilo's POV:
I woke up because I was thirsty, when I left my room I saw y/n- wait y/n? at the candle? I ran off and I burst into the room and saw Dolores, Y/n and Abuela crying.

“what’s happening here abuela- y/n?!What are you doing with the candle and why are you crying?!” I ran to her “I did my best right? maybe it’s really nice if I just died when I was young.” She said then lost consciousness. “y/n? wake up!” I shake her off. “hey y/n wake up!”

“Camilo its no use. Just let her, we’ll talk to her tomorrow about what going on and her real purpose to be here.” Dolores said helping Abuela to get out of the room.

After dolores and abuela left, I carried y/n to my bedroom and let her sleep in my bed. After that I finally drank water and went to sleep beside her.

“Wait Camilo really? Beside her?” I said to my self ‘shoot I said that out loud’. Seems like sleeping is no use when you’re sleeping beside the one you like hm?

“hey y/n, I know you can’t hear me right now because you’re sleeping, but I have a confession to make.” I said sighing. “It may not be obvious, but you’re someone that I’d like to keep in my heart for as long as I live. I like you y/n. I can even write thousands of essay and poems about you, I’ll do everything to make you mine.

I guess I can finally sleep with a peace of mind now.
