ANNABELLE
I NERVOUSLY followed Pietro and Wanda as they navigated through a weaponry ship on the African Coast. Ultron had ordered us to negotiate with Ulysses Klaue, who was in charge of the ship that contained Vibranium, the strongest metal in the world.
The lights to the ship shut off, which was Ultron's doing. Through the shadows that we were standing in, I could see a man with dark gray hair reaching for a gun that lay on the desk in front of him. I used my speed to grab his gun from him and unload it on the desk. I stopped next to Pietro and Wanda as they stepped out of the darkness that was hiding our presence. Klaue looked from the unloaded bullets to us, his face relaxing as he recognized us.
"Ah, yeah. The Enhanced. Strucker's prize pupils." He spoke as he sat back down.
He has a weird accent.
His eyes landed on me and he reached back to his desk and grabbed a bowl of candy. "Do you want a candy? Hmm?" He asked me. I looked at Pietro and he nodded at me, giving the go ahead. I went on my tiptoes to look inside the bowl and used my powers to levitate a caramel candy to me. "I was sorry to hear about Strucker. But then, he knew what kind of world he was helping create. Human life. Not a growth market." He explained. I looked up at Pietro and Wanda who were sharing glances. I plopped the caramel candy in my mouth. "You didn't know? Is this your first time intimidating someone? I'm afraid I'm not that afraid."
"Everybody is afraid of something." Wanda comments.
"Cuttlefish. Deep sea fish. They make lights, disco lights...to hypnotize their prey, and then..." He reaches his hand out fast. "I saw a documentary. It was terrifying." He explained with his eyes wide.
The caramel candy melted deliciously in my mouth. I levitated a handful of them behind Klaue's back and dropped them in my hand. Pietro reached for one and I slapped his hand away, sending a playful glare his way. He raised his eyebrows at me and kept his hand out. We stared, challenging the other to cave. I caved first and sighed, giving him a candy before placing the rest in my jean jacket pocket and pulling one out for myself.
"So if you're going to fiddle with my brain and make me see a giant cuttlefish, then I know you don't do business. And I know you're not in charge. And I only deal with the man in charge." Klaue continued as he stood up and Ultron came into view outside of Klaue's office. It broke through the glass and pushed Klaue out of the office.
