i'm begging for forgivenessANNABELLE
PIETRO, WANDA, and I walked into a room in a tech building in South Korea. Ultron brought us where they were making a "body" as I understand it, with Vibranium, the mind stone, and they were putting Ultron's intelligence into it.
"Cellular cohesion will take a few hours, but we can initiate the conscious stream. We're uploading your cerebral matrix now." Dr. Cho informed Ultron.
"I can read him." Wanda spoke as she kept her gaze on the cradle that contained the body. "He's dreaming."
"I wouldn't call it dreams. It's Ultron's base consciousness. Informational noise. Soon..." Dr. Cho continued.
"How soon?" Ultron interrupted impatiently. "I'm not being pushy."
Wanda walked up to the cradle with curiosity as Pietro and I stayed back and watched her.
"We're imprinting a physical brain. There are no shortcuts. Even if your magic gem..." Dr. Cho continued. Wanda pressed her hands against the machine, shortly after she screamed and panted. Pietro and I rushed to her aid as she looked at Ultron, horrified.
"How could you?" She asked in shock.
"How could I what?" It asked.
"You said we would destroy the Avengers, make a better world."
"It will be better." Ultron argued.
"When everyone is dead?" She asked. Pietro and I's heads shot up in surprise.
"That is not...The human race will have every opportunity to improve." Ultron explained.
"And if they don't?" Pietro asked.
"Ask Noah." Ultron responded. Pietro grabbed onto Wanda and I's hands.
"You are a madman." Wanda told Ultron.
"There were more than a dozen extinction-level events before even the dinosaurs got theirs. When the Earth starts to settle, God throws a stone at it. And, believe me, he's winding up. We have to evolve. There's no room for the weak."
"And who decides who's weak?" Pietro asked as he squeezed my hand.
"Life. Life always decides." Ultron chuckled. Pietro kissed the side of Wanda's head as we heard an aircraft. "There's incoming. The Quinjet. We have to move." Ultron ordered.
"That's not a problem." Dr. Cho told him. Wanda grabbed my other hand and kissed the top of my head. We all looked at Dr. Cho as she paused the upload and Ultron sighed before blasting her. I jumped right before Pietro ran us out of there. He stopped at an outside market.
"What are we doing?" I asked frantically.
"I don't know." Pietro grumbled as he tried to think.
"Wasn't that the Avengers?" I asked, referring to the aircraft we heard.
"Yes." Wanda replied.
"Shouldn't we help them?" I pried.
Wanda and Pietro looked at each other, trying to figure out what to do. I huffed and looked over at a TV hung up on one of the walls. The TV displayed Captain America fighting Ultron in a moving train.
I pulled on Pietro's sleeve of his sweatshirt. He looked down at me as I pointed to the TV.
"We have to help them."
Pietro and Wanda look at the TV before looking at each other again.
"Okay, let's go." Pietro said as he nodded.
Pietro and I ran onto the train Ultron and Rodgers were fighting on. Pietro ran and hit Ultron from one direction, making it stumble. I ran and hit Ultron from the other direction, sending him into the side of the train. Wanda walked through the middle of the train car. I stopped next to her as a red hue covered her hands. Ultron regained his balance and charged towards Pietro. Wanda warped the railing around Ultron to block it in and stop him. Ultron turned to us.
"Please, don't do this." Ultron angrily pleaded.
"What choice do we have?" Wanda told him. Ultron turned back to Pietro and raised his hand, a red glow illuminating the palm.
"No!" I yelled. I used my powers while I ran and moved the railing behind me to create a shield. I grabbed onto Pietro's arms and pushed him out of the way of the blast and into the other train car.
"Thanks." Pietro panted as he calmed himself.
"No problem." I shrugged as I calmed myself too. Pietro let out an airy chuckle as he patted my shoulder. Wanda walked into our train car as Rodgers entered from the other direction.
"Civilians in our path." Rodgers told Pietro. Pietro nodded before he ran out of the train, and Rodgers turned to Wanda and I.
"Can you two stop this thing?" He asked us. Wanda and I looked at each other before nodding confidently. The train ran into a building, causing debris to fly into the train car. Wanda and I regained our balance before using our powers to stop the wheels, creating breaks. When we finally stopped, we exited the train car. Pietro was right outside the door hunched over on the wall and panting. Wanda placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm fine. I just need to take a minute." Pietro told us as he waved us off.
"I'm very tempted not to give you one." Rodgers told him as he walked up to us.
"The Cradle. Did you get it?" Wanda asked him.
"Stark will take care of it." Rodgers told her and she shook her head while Pietro sighed, frustrated.
"No, he won't." Wanda sighed.
"You don't know what you're talking about. Stark's not crazy." Rodgers defended.
"He will do anything to make things right." Wanda pushed.
Captain America sighed.
"Stark, come in. Stark. Anyone on comms." He spoke out as he pressed his finger to his ear.
"Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it. Where do you think he gets that?" Wanda added to him.
