ACE | Chapter Five

Not many people could feel quite content when their quirk disappears. But Shoto found it quite easy to continue with his daily life. Making soba in the middle of the day, that was normal. However he was in the middle of making his finishing plate when one of his lovely siblings entered the kitchen, fumbling the mail.

He ignored it until they called his name. "Shoto, you got mail from someone named...Jaku...shitsu? Do you know this person?" Shoto nearly broke his neck by jerking his head back. "Huh?!" His sister handed him an envelope. He never expected this, could it be--no, he shouldn't get ahead of himself.

Forgetting about his soba, he ripped open the envelope to find a card and a letter. Something compelled him to open up the letter first, so he did and was greeted with some somewhat sloppy handwriting, it wasn't perfect but it wasn't bad. Like the average 10 year olds writing.

"Well, are you gonna read it?" He nudged her, he replied in a low mumble and began reading.

"I'm sorry about your quirk. sorry that I kept it and that it took so long to give it back all you have to do is touch the card then it should stop changing colors. I still feel I owe you a explanation
I can store quirks inside objects

Have a good day Shoto - Jaku"

For someone whos first language isn't english, she sure writes pretty well. That's what Shoto was thinking. Shoto then pulled out the card that was changing colors, it was almost phenomanal, if they didn't live in a world of superpowers.

"Oh! That is so cool! That's a pretty awesome quirk! And that's so pretty!" His sister exclaimed. Shoto stared at it, then the card seemed to stop changing colors, turning back into a regular poker card.

It made him think back to the training, everything she had done. Stopped his breathing, that trick with the tape, the exploding cards, her firey outcome when she sparred with Midoriya, it all made sense! It made so much sense, that it almost made no sense at all. And it was all so infuriating as well, he could feel his blood boil, he hadn't even noticed the card in his hands caught on fire.

"Uh, Shoto, are you okay? Isn't that a good thing?" But much to her dismay, she got her response in boiling silence as Shoto grabbed his plate and walked off.

*WITH JAKU*

Jaku felt her body hit the ground, with some people ending up in trees, others ending up on the ground, no one expected that. Jaku groaned as she rubbed her neck and opened her eyes. Dozens of trees resided before her, she got to her feet and dusted off her pants.

She heard some angry mumbling and trees rustling. She looked over to find Xavi stuck in a tree by his pants and using his extremely long tongue (that resembled somewhat of a lizard), to get himself down. But failing miserably. He seemed to retract the moment his tongue got cut on a branch. He grumbled and wiped his escaping saliva.

Jakushitsu walked over and helped him down, being the kind person she is. He fell to the ground, she started walking away without a word. Soon a swift wind brushed past her cheek, followed by some laughter, she looked over and Xavi jumped on the tree branches, headstart I guess. Something about a loser?

It wasn't too long before Jaku caught up, jumping on the tree branches as well. Xavi looked over and they happen to be in sync, which pissed him off a lot. Especially because she looked like she was having fun. So he sped up to get rid of her.

"The others are catching up you know." Xavi nearly jumped, he looked over and there she was again! He narrowed his crimson eyes and looked forward. "Will you leave me alone?" He muttered but Jaku didn't hear him due to the strong wind.
