*Hayley's POV*
I'm currently sitting with my little sister, drawing with her.
When we got back from the run, my father instantly became concerned and interrogated Rick and I about my head. Rick and I both assured him it was just a crazy accident. Hershel took a look and concluded i was concussion free, and it wasn't deep enough for stitches. I mean a bandaid did the job just fine.
Now Daddy, Rick, And Hershel have went out to negotiate with the Governor. I'm worried about them, but I know that they can take care of themselves.
"Carl, come here. You stash these at the loading dock. All right?" I hear Glenn order, Carl listens immediately. "Beth, put more up on the catwalk. If anyone gets pinned down, we need to make sure that they have plenty of ammo. I'll go work on the cage outside."
"What we should be doing is loading some of this firepower in a truck and paying a visit to the Governor. We know where he is right now." Merle pipes in.
"Are you suggesting that we just go in and kill him?" Glenn replies. I get up and walk closer to everyone else, Maddie is occupied with her drawing at a table anyway.
"Yeah, I am." Merle answers.
"We told Rick and Daryl that we'd stay put." Michonne says to my uncle.
"I've changed my mind, sweetheart. Being on the sideline with my brother out there ain't sitting right with me.
"The three of them are right in the middle of it. No idea we're coming. They could get taken hostage or killed. A thousand things could go wrong." Glenn shoots down Merle's idea again.
"And they will."
"My dad can take care of himself." Carl says, and I nod my head agreeing. Mine can too.
"Sorry, son, but your dad's head could be on a pike real soon." Merle says as Carl walks out, and I swat his arm. He is standing close to me.
"Don't say that!" I scold, as he gives me a glare.
"It's not the right move. Not now. Can't take the risk of putting them in the crossfire. That's my decision. It's final." Glenn states firmly. He then walks out following Carl.
I can see that Merle is annoyed, but I don't give it much thought as I walk over to Maggie.
"Is there anything I should be doing?" I ask her.
"Not that I know of sweetie. But, you're helping out enough keeping Maddie occupied and out of the way. After all she is a toddler with a lot of energy and always wanting to play." Maggie smiles over at Maddie, who is smiling down at the picture she was drawing.
I nod and walk back over to my sister.
"What are you drawing there?" I ask her. She gets excited and starts pointing out individual things she drew.
"That's you and me." She says pointing to the stick figures, and then she points out the moon, clouds, and then points to a star. "That's a star, just like my necklace."
"I see." I smile. "It's very pretty."
"You have it." She says loudly, pushing the paper in front of me. Almost shoving my other paper in the floor. "Oops.." she giggles, then grabs another paper out of the stack.
"Thank you." I say and finish off my drawing. Basic flower. "Here you can have mine." I say and hand her it.
"Pretty." She says then disregards it, focusing back on her second drawing. I laugh at her disinterest.
