'He what?!"  Hestia had shrieked the moment that Magnolia filled her friends in on her talk with Sirius.

"That is so romantic," sighed Amelia dreamily, tucking a curl behind her ear.

"I think it's sweet," Alice countered. "Frank asked me to Hogsmeade for our first date, you know,"

"He never said it was a date!" Magnolia quipped with flushed cheeks as she folded her legs up and pulled them towards her body.

The four were cozied up on the squashy yellow couches within the Hufflepuff common room. A brilliant fire crackled within the mantle beneath Helga Hufflepuff's painting. It was a breezy Sunday afternoon, and the only thing that dulled it was the hefty load of homework that they all had.

"It's definitely a date," Amelia stated matter-of-factly.

"Absolutely," added Hestia, inspecting her manicured nails. "Black is a ladies' man, after all. He'll wine and dine you,"

"Oh don't say that, Tia," Alice whined. "Magnolia, don't listen to her,"

"I'm just saying, you've been warned Mags," chastised Hestia, quirking a brow.

"Yeah, yeah," Magnolia teased as she stood up and grabbed her satchel from the floor.

"Where are you off to?" questioned Amelia.

"The library," Magnolia informed them. "I have to write this miserable History of Magic paper,"

"Ugh, I forgot about that," groaned Alice.

"Have fun, you nerd!" Hestia called as she made her way to the door.

As she strolled to the library, her head was abuzz with thoughts. Magnolia secretly hoped that Sirius and James would let off Dung Bombs again, just so she could see him. She shook her head dismissively, thoughts like those were way too ditzy for her to be thinking! Magnolia was not one to chase after a guy, he would have to chase after her, she decided.

The library was mostly deserted, so Magnolia was able to easily secure her favorite desk to work at. Hours went by as she feebly scribbled away at the scroll of parchment. The next thing Magnolia knew, she was sound asleep and drooling on her essay.

A gentle hand shook her shoulder and her head shot up in surprise. Her eyes were groggy and she moved to rub them so she could see better.

"Hey, you're Magnolia, right?" asked the voice of Lily, the redhead from the Gryffindor party. Beside her was Mary, who had intricate coils of black hair and dimpled cheeks.

"Er-yes, I am," Magnolia stammered as she glanced down at her unwritten essay.

"History of Magic? That class makes me fall asleep too," Mary reassured her with a bright smile.

"It's already time for dinner, would you like to join us?" offered Lily.

Magnolia grinned and got up from her seat, throwing her belongings in her satchel.

The three girls left the library in high spirits. Magnolia quickly discovered she got along great with the Gryffindors, and they did not judge her whatsoever for the drunken kiss that she had shared with Sirius.

"I have to say Magnolia, you're nothing like your brothers," confessed Mary.

"I'd sure hope not, they have the likeness of trolls!" quipped Magnolia.

The three girls collectively laughed as they turned the corridor.

"Is that—?" began Mary, her eyes wide at the sight before them before looking over guiltily at the Hufflepuff beside her.
