Kongpob looked at Arthit like he had just spoken Latin and Russian.
"So you’re saying that your Mae fixed your marriage with her favourite student?"
Arthit nodded.
"And you wanted to take me home so that she would accept your girlfriend?"
"Exactly, genius!" Arthit exclaimed irritatedly.
"P'Arthit, does your Mae teach at a girls school?"
"No, why?" Arthit asked, confused.
"Then what if she brings any male student with her and wants you to marry him?"
Arthit opened his mouth, just to close afterwards. He glared at Kongpob, pressing his lips together. "Kongpob, you don't have to work your brain. And nothing like that would happen. Just don't confuse me."
"Ok," Kongpob says, raising his hands. "But P'Arthit, what if she likes me and accepts me as your boyfriend?" Kongpob asked with a teasing smile and a raised eyebrow.
Arthit scoffed at him. "Don't be full of yourself you kid. I know my Mae well. She likes kids who are obedient and well behaved.. Not a rebellious brat like you."
Kongpob smiled nodding his head. " P'Arthit's Mae sounds like P'Paga."
"Kongpob, you dare to compare my Mae with that monster?" Arthit asked, annoyed.
Kongpob chuckled. "P'Arthit, if I could charm the monster Paga with my smile don't you think it's like a piece of cake for me to impress your Mae?'' Kongpob asked him with his trademark smirk.
Arthit exhaled loudly and looked at Kongpob with narrowed eyes. "Kongpob, you stop with your nonsense. You you…" Arthit stuttered as he struggled to find the words
"Me me what?" Kongpob asked teasingly.
"Ok ok, guys stop it." Kat interrupted the boys who were busy fighting with each other.
"P'Arthit, do you really think it's gonna work? I mean you guys can't even talk to each other for two minutes without fighting? Do you think you can take him home and act like you both love each other?"
"He started it. He is always messing with me." Arthit said, pointing accusingly at Kongpob.
"P'Arthit, we need him. So you will have to put up with him. It's our need and don't forget that it's your plan. If you can't behave like a mature adult, just forget about the plan."
"Arghh fine! I will try to control my temper. And you, that goes for you as well. So stop being a brat and act like a man. A man who is in love with me, not someone who likes to piss me off." Arthit said, looking at Kongpob.
Kongpob shrugged his shoulders, "ok honey.”
Arthit looked at him with his wide eyes. "H.. Honey…? You called me honey."
"Yeah. Isn't it how lovers call each other?"
"Don't put so much effort into the act. Just call me P'Arthit like Kat, that's enough. Honey.. Yuck cheesy" Arthit said, making a disgusted face.
Kongpob scoffed at his face. "Yeah, says the one who was searching for wings under the table."
"Kongpob! Not a single word about that. It was actually a good one. You are just too stupid to understand that." Arthit ended with an annoyed huff.
"P'Arthit, you still have time to change your mind. Are you sure that it's gonna work? I mean just look at you both." Kat said, shaking her head at the bickering boys.
"No, I won't lose my temper after this even if he keeps annoying me. Let's not cancel the plan. And you come, let's go." Arthit said, looking at Kongpob in the end.
"Go? Go, where?" Kongpob asked, confused.
"My home, where else?"
"Like right now? Isn't that too soon?"
"What difference does it make if we do it today or tomorrow?" Arthit said, getting up from his seat. "Kat, before I go home I will drop you off."
"Wait, wait P'Arthit, I can't come with you just like that." Kongpob interrupted Arthit who was ready to walk out from the restaurant.
"Why? What happened? You changed your mind? You don't want to become my boyfriend any more? Arthit asked, panicked.
"No no, P'Arthit, I mean I will have to inform my parents that I will be staying out of the house for a while and also I will have to bring some clothes and other necessities."
"Oh, that's all? Then we head to your house after dropping off Kat, how about that?"
"It's ok P'Arthit, I drove here. You guys just go to his home safely without striking each other." Kat said, getting up from her seat.
"Ok then let's go P'Arthit," Kongpob too got up from his seat.
They all exited the restaurant together and before parting ways, Arthit gave Kat a hug and kissed her lips.
