<first and last love>

-part 1-

"eomma ! im off to work !" exclaimed jay as he made his way out of the house .

he took the bus to starbucks , where he worked . today was quite crowded since it was the start of the holidays , jay took endless lines of people waiting to order their drinks . by the time he served the last person , he felt like he was going to pass out . then , the bells to the entrance of the café rang , jay sighed as he got up from his seat to serve whoever was going to order .

"hello welcome to starbucks , how may i help you ?" jay greeted tiredly .

"are you always like this at work ? you wont even look at me" the customer commented

jay looked at the person standing in front of him and saw it was his friend , jungwon . jay smiled and took off his apron and exited the counter area , he hugged jungwon tightly as if he hadnt seen him for years .

"how are you hyung ?" jungwon asked

"im okay , just quite tired than usual since it's quite packed here" jay replied

"mhm , i can see that . you work so hard hyung" jungwon added praising his hyung

jay chuckled and proceeded to serve jungwon , eventually they caught up with each other on life and they talked until jay's shift was over . when the clock striked 10pm , jay packed his things and proceeded to walk back home with jungwon since they only live a few blocks away from each other .

"so , how are you and your girlfriend ?" jay asked

"i guess we're alright , we fight a lot and im beginning to think she's falling out of love with me" jungwon ranted

jay patted his shoulder reassuring jungwon that what he was thinking was absolutely wrong

"you give lots of love advice , do you have a partner ?" jungwon asked

jay's mind went blank , he had never thought about love nor experienced it . he had never planned about falling in love or planned about anything related to love . he was just focusing on work , family and friends . nothing else really crossed his mind , not until jungwon brought up his relationship status

"uhm , not at the moment" jay replied simply

jungwon nodded and they said their goodbyes when they reached jay's house , jay went inside his house seeing his parents at the dining table eating dinner . jay's mum opened her mouth to say something but jay had already collapsed on the sofa , he was exhausted . he let out a long and exhausting sigh and closed his eyes trying to get away from things for now . he then felt an arm placed on his shoulder and he slowly opened his eyes to see his mum sitting beside him . he smiled

"long day ?" jay's mum asked concerned for her son

"yeah , it was quite packed today since its the start of the holidays" jay replied

"maybe you deserve a holiday too son , youve been working so hard" jay's mum added

jay just shrugged his shoulders and went upstairs to his room . he laid down on his bed and suddenly thought about jungwon's question he had asked jay earlier .

"do you have a partner ?" jungwon's voice echoed in jay's mind

Jay started to wonder if he would find his first love . and will it be his last ?
