MJ
Her head roared with pain as her eyes opened slowly, light beaming into them from her window as she groaned loudly.
"Jesus... what time is it?" She asked herself, turning to her clock. Well... she was definitely late.
"Shit." She muttered and stood up quickly, pausing when she became light headed and collapsed onto the ground with a loud thud.
"Ow..." she mumbled, slowly standing up and walking out of her bedroom. She was still wearing the same clothes from yesterday, and as long as they didn't have puke on them, she'd be fine.
"Pain pills... pain pills.. Jesus where are they?" She grumbled, rummaging through her medicine cabinet. Obviously, they weren't there.
MJ looked around her bathroom floor for a moment before remembering that Peter had set them on her coffee table, going to take them before tossing them into the kitchen, slipping on a pair of she's and grabbed her phone, rushing out of her apartment.

MJ stared down at the newspaper in her hand, looking at the picture of the meteor Peter had taken with her in the shot, facing away.

"This is... amazing, Moriah." MJ smiled as Moriah clasped her hands together. "At least the people of New York will stay away from it... I hope."
"Oh you know New Yorkers better than I do. They can be nosey sometimes."
"That's just the people that didn't grow up here. Real New Yorkers couldn't give more of a shit than any of us." MJ laughed, folding the paper. "Do you mind if I keep this one?"
"Oh of course! It is your story, I just wrote it." She hummed, and MJ nodded as a thank you.
"Great. Um... have you seen Peter at all?" Moriah looked around and shook her head. "Maybe he's late."
"Or maybe he got sucked up into an alternate dimension." Moriah and MJ turned their heads to see a laughing Eddie, a smile on his face. "Just kidding. Haven't seen him since yesterday."
"I haven't seen him since last night, either. Maybe he got sick." MJ assumed, shoving the newspaper in her bag.
"Well, if you see him, tell him he should give me some pointers on snapping some good pictures in Spider-Man. Getting jealous of that kid." Eddie joked, and MJ shrugged.
"We're only a few years younger than you, Eddie. You getting jealous of the new guy already? It's only been a month."
"Maybe I am. He's pretty good at his job. I know he sent in some pictures a few years back. And even then, he was better than me. I gotta go, maybe I'll catch you guys up for a coffee." Eddie waved the two girls goodbye as he headed for the elevator, Moriah watching him leave with wide eyes.
"You gotta think for Mr. Brock, Moriah?" MJ nudged her friend, whose eyes widened even bigger.
"What? No! No I don't... I'm.. um. No?"
"You're a really bad liar."
"Oh I know! I've practically liked him since he got here! He's the only one here that's nice to me and.. well.., I like nice guys." Moriah plopped down in her swivel chair, sighing quietly as MJ's hands clasped together.
"So you like Peter, too?" MJ joked as Moriah shook her head.
"No. He's nice and all but.. not really my type. If anything, I'd say he's into you." MJ's eyes widened with shock as she shook her head.
"What? That is crazy. I mean yeah Peter and I went out on a date, but he missed our first one! And I think he's still getting over his girlfriend. And I'm not so big on pushing guys into doing anything."
"You're a sweet girl, Mary Jane. Plus, you're really hot. Any guy would be very lucky to have you." Moriah waved her hands around as MJ chuckled, shaking her head.
"Thanks, Moriah, but I don't think I'm looking to date anyone right now." MJ started to walk away and towards the elevator, pausing for a moment to frown.
Peter would have made an excuse.. right? Should I text him? Maybe he's doing Spider-Man things right now.
MJ shook away the odd feeling that she had, clicking the button to the elevator.
