The Singing Extravaganza

Chapter 16

The Wiggles called all their contestants back.

They rebuilt the stage and fixed the lights. 

"Alright, guys! Final checks!" Sam announced.

"You got it, kiddo. And have you guys finally decided on prize money?" said Clayton.

"There is no prize money because there's no competition. Tonight, you're singing for yourselves" said Sam.

She went to the other side of the stage where Dudley was training Patty to be a stagehand.

"How's our new stage hand coming along?" said Sam.

"She's learning fast" said Dudley.

"Yeah. This is really great, Sam" said Patty.

"Awesome. Could you just go check in on the audience, Patty?" said Sam.

"You got it" said Patty.

As she went out, Dudley faced Sam.

"Are you sure I can do this?" he said.

"Of course I am. Newton is probably in that audience right now. He came for you" said Sam.

"Well... he did say he wanted to see me on a stage" said Dudley.

"Exactly. If you can forge a wedding, you can sing in front of an audience" said Sam.

"Okay. I'll keep that in mind" said Dudley.

"Yeah!" Sam encouraged.

"The audience are in their seats, Sam" said Patty.

"Cool" said Sam.

There weren't many people in the audience, but it didn't matter to Sam. She knew what this night was for and what she had on her hands.

"Guys, I gotta tell you. There's not much of an audience out there. But it doesn't matter. You guys are doing this because tonight is our night" said Sam.
