[JUGHEAD'S POV]

*6 p.m.*

"Hey babe" Betty's voice on the phone was happier than usual

"Hey baby. You seem to be happy, what's for?"

"Well..." she started with a soft and warm voice "My mother has just gone out and she won't come back until tomorrow morning" she continued "what about you come over? We order a pizza and then have some fun?"

I let a little laugh out of my mouth "What if she catches us? You know how much she hates me, although you told her you broke up with me"

"yeah I know she thinks we're broken up, and that's why I'm asking you to come over while she's out of town"

"Betty, you know I" I started saying but she interrupted me

"pleaseeeeee"

her baby voice... I can't resist when she does it.

"Alright I'll be there in 10"

"YES" she screamed happily

"But at one condition: I'll go home before the morning comes or we'll be dead when she comes back"

"Fine. I'll wait for you, don't take too much to be here. I love you" she said

"I love you too" I replied before ending the call

[BETTY'S POV]

* 11 p.m. at Betty's house*

Here I am, trying not to fall asleep during the film, but that's just so hard, I mean, I'm in the arms of my boy, so warm, so safe, he's softly stroking my shoulder in little circles, under the cuddly blanket laying on the sofa... everything's just so perfect. I think I'm gonna close my eyes, just to rest them for a couple seconds, I don't want to fall asleep.

"Betty, you awake?" – a whisper in my ear

"yeah, yeah, I'm just resting my eyes"

"I should probably start heading home, it's late"

"no, please" I said in a begging tone "stay the night"

"you know I can't, if your mom" – I don't let him finish the sentence "my mom is out of town, she'll never know"

"are you sure?"

"yeah, she won't be home for a few days" I said moving my head against his chest "you don't need to worry, just cuddle" I said in a sleepy voice

"you do are pretty tired, huh?" he asked chuckling

I nodded and he kissed my head

"I guess I can stay a little more"

I turned my head and waited for his soft lips to kiss mine

*JUGHEAD'S POV*

I wake up as I hear a door closing, I'm not really awake so I guess is just Betty coming from the bathroom but... Betty's sleeping in my arms, with her head on my chest so who can it be?

I don't have time to answer my own question that someone turns the corner of the entrance and after moving their luggage turns the lights on

Two blue eyes looking directly at me, well at us...

"What the hell are you doing here?" considering I've just woken up my answer "ehm... I... uhm..." isn't so bad

"Run" she speaks

With her fiery eyes she's turning me to ashes with her stare as I try to get out of the sofa as quick as I can without making my baby fall off.

"Jug, baby, why you goin away?" her sleepy voice comes out of her mouth without even opening her eyes

"your mom" –she interrupts me "my mom is out of town I told you" "and could you please turn the lights off, they're annoying"

"no baby, your mom is" –Alice interrupts me "here, Elizabeth"

Why do I always get interrupted by everyone?? Anyhow... Betty opened her eyes and lifted her head as quick as the light "MOM?!" "but... but... you were supposed to be out of town"

"waited 6 hours just to get my flight deleted, but that's not the point, I'll deal with you later, now YOU" she said looking directly at me "GET OUT, NOW"

I'm terrified of that woman so I jump off the sofa and remembered later I was in boxer, Betty gets up so fast and at least as terrified as me, just to remember later that she was in lingerie

Alice really can't believe her eyes, I can feel her anger from here when she just said "I hope you're fast" "Jug, run" Betty sort of whispers to me, and so I do

I run toward the front door open it and get out, in boxer, in the middle of the night, I think... I look at the door of my girlfriend's house when I hear her voice from the window upstairs "Jug, it's cold" she says throwing me my clothes "thanks" I said looking at her "now go before she gets out, don't go too fast and call me when you get home, I love you" she blows a kiss and then closes her window

"I love you too" I say to myself, knowing she can't hear me because her mother is yelling so loud that the entire neighbourhood can hear her

I look at Archie's house as I hear a door opening; he comes out and looks at me, still in my boxers, picking up my clothes from the garden of my girlfriend's house in the middle of the night while Alice is scolding my Betty, I look back at him and him "I'm so proud of you" he says lifting his thumb "fuck you" I reply chuckling, still picking up my clothes "oh come on man, you know I love you" he says trying to imitate my baby and blowing a kiss "it's not the first and won't be the last time this happens Jug" he says going inside his house.

I finish getting dressed and go on my motorcycle, I put the helmet on and look at Betty's window one last time before starting my bike and go home.
