debut

Today is the day I debut, it's been a week since I told the company I was ready. They got me somewhere to perform surprisingly quickly. Enhypen is backstage with me as I'm getting ready for it, planning to sneak into their seats in the audience. My manager is running around everywhere, making sure everything is in order and is ready. I go on in five minutes, the same time that the music video drops. I'm practicing the dance a bit, still slightly nervous. I've been on talk shows all week to promote the song, and I have a few after this, not as many as I would usually have, though. I have to practice with Riki and Enhypen. The Enhypen performance is at the next awards show in around two weeks. I've made sure to not put too much on my plate, so I have time for that. Then the two weeks after that I begin practicing with Riki. We still haven't fully decided on a song. We only know that we won't do a song in English, since Riki doesn't know as much English as me and there isn't enough time.

The intercom comes on, telling me I have three minutes when I hear someone enter the dressing room. I turn around to see Riki, who's looking me up and down.

"Damn take a picture or something." I say, a light chuckle escaping my lips.

"Sorry." he says shyly, a light pink coming to his cheeks.

I turn to the mirror, ready to work on my ending fairy while Riki continues to stand there, in his own thoughts.

"Did you need something?" I ask, titling my head.

"Oh yeah, I came to tell you," he pauses, coming to me and pressing his forehead against mine, hour hands gripping the other's elbows. I feel my heart rate dramatically speed up. 

"You'll do great, best of luck." he states, our eyes locking again before the intercom comes on, announcing me to go on stage. I break out of his grip to go to the door. Before opening it I'm pulled back to him, our eyes locking again for a shorter period than last time, and he places a kiss on my forehead. He walks to the door before turning back to me, who's in shock.

"If you get nervous, remember what I just told you. Get to the stage, quickly." he says with a smile, realising the effect he has on me. I follow what he says and jog to the stage. My outfit one of my favourites in the video. A pleather skirt with a Mariokart shirt on, a black and red striped long sleeve underneath and fishnet tights with black doc martins. They set up my mic pack, and the countdown from one minute begins. I let out a breath and turn back to the audience. Enhypen is sat in their own corner. Some give me a thumbs up, Sunghoon and Jay giving me reassuring smiles and Riki purely smirking. He's ridiculously proud of himself for sending my heart out of it's ribcage. I don't even know why he would do that. But i have no time to think about it and simply stick my tongue out at him and prepare my mind as the thirty second count starts.

The song starts playing and I begin to sing along. My body moves along with the music.

I make sure to focus on the camera as I perform, scared that one glance at Enhypen would throw me off.

I finish the performance with an ending fairy, the one where you take a bite and it turns into a heart. The cameras shut off and I look over to see Riki with a red face, being covered by his hand. we make eye contact and I wink at him, before walking backstage.

I'm left alone in my dressing room and finally given a chance to think about everything Mr. Nishimura Riki does to my heart, soon coming to a conclusion.

He doesn't do anything to it. This is just me finally getting a true best friend. Since I never had one that wouldn't try to get with me or my brother once they found out our dad had the big bucks or that Jay and I were simply related. Yeah totally, and if I did like Riki, he's probably way out of my league anyways and would never like me in that manner. 

Niki pov:
I don't know what came over me when I kissed her forehead. I went in originally having my target be her lips but seeing her be so breathtaking made me rethink and I kissed her forehead instead. The day she told me she was going to debut, all I wanted to do was kiss her, right there and then. I didn't care if anyone saw, I'm pretty sure all the guys know anyways, and if they don't all know, then her brother does and that's all that matters. Jay, Heeseung, and Sunghoon know. I think Sunoo and Jungwon figured it out, I'm hoping Jake doesn't since he can't keep a secret. But during the performance I could've died. I was on the end next to Heeseung, who kept elbowing me discreetly in the ribcage during the whole thing. I already like her, no need to rub it in as she's being stunning. Not to mention I physically felt my cheeks heat up at the ending fairy which Heeseung lost it about since I was fucking blushing so hard and since Jay and Sunghoon were beside him, they also started going feral about it. Not to mention when she winked at me I could've passed out then and there.

I hid my feelings for her for a while now, but I don't know if I can take it much longer.

Robyn pov:
After gathering my thoughts, I'm called out once more over the intercom for my interview. It all went really well, but I was exhausted by the end of it. I nearly fell asleep on the way home and when I was in the shower. I come out in my pajamas to see Riki laying in my bed. He's sprawled out everywhere and I gently pat his face, trying to wake him as I climb into bed. I lay beside him and he stirs, giving me a glimpse of hope that he's awake. His eyes are closed, his eyebrows are furrowed, he's still asleep. I gently call his name and his eyes open a bit, a light grin gracing his lips as he pulls me towards him. His head is buried between my shoulder and neck, his legs are tangled with mine, his arms wrapped around me. I play with his hair and he snuggles more into my neck, a light chuckle escaping my lips. He always manages to make me feel so safe.

 I adore the feeling.
