Harry hugged his uncles tightly as he prepared to go back to Hogwarts, they both smiled at him before Remus told him to hurry onto the train before he was late.

"Now little Prongslet make sure too write me about any advancements in Prong's little love affair" Sirius smirked at him sending a quick wink before Remus hit him lightly in the arm.

"Sure Sirius-" Harry gave them one last hug before rushing onto the train to sit down in his and his friends compartment.

Harry felt his eyes move towards the corner of the compartment seeing something carved into the wood of the train.

'J.P wuz here'

It was dumb really, carved into the wood messily and without care. Something done only to look back on later, so that your kids could see it when they went to Hogwarts. A timeless momentum of sorts.

But Harry still traced the letters with a dumb smile. The diary had connected him to his dad more than ever before, but Hogwarts brings them even closer.

"Mind if I sit here?"

James looked up at Regulus with wide eyes. He gestured for him to sit down, a confused look of his face.

"Of course I can't stay... but I wanted to thank you, for the letters" Regulus' face was flushed and he fiddled with his fingers when he looked up for James' reaction.

"Anytime Reggie, I really liked reading your letters" James smiled as Regulus quickly broke away from the eye contact with bright cheeks.

"Y-yeah, if you're up to it... do you wanna meet at the black lake again. The same spot" James smiled widely before nodding, his own cheeks turning red.

"What time?" Regulus looked up at James wide eyed. As if he'd expected James too deny him.

As if he ever could

"After the feast? If you can't sneak away from your friends then that's oka-"

"I'll be there"

A date with Regulus

Well not really a date, but its half way there. And I've always been a glass half full kinda guy.
