My heart rushes for the names you call me,
Sweetheart,
Darling,
Love,
My love,
My darling,
My sweetheart,The heart thrashes against a wave, reaching for the buoy you've thrown into the water.
My heart wants to reach out and pluck the word from the air but it's only mist and gone before an attempt is made.
But that heart always swells with love when I hear,
And it's like an addiction,
"Say it again," I want to yell.
"Tell me again, that I am your love, your lifeline, your darling, your sweetheart,
anything," I want to whisper. And as odd as nicknames may sound, it is love and for one second I'm not me,
but something lovelier
and something softer
and something worthy of such spoken talismans.I don't want to be only my name
