~~~~Present~~~~
Shego took a long and deep breath. Everything was so much harder now. Sometimes she wondered if loving someone or having feelings at all was worth all the pain. She thought about this a lot when it got closer to the day for Kim to leave.
She reached over to the side table, grabbing the pack of Newports and pulling a single cigarette from the carton. She took the lighter from the table as well. Placing the slim white object in her mouth, she lit the other end.
"Must you?" Kim raised her head to look at the woman with a scrunched up nose in disgust.
Shego only cocked an eyebrow as she took a long drag. She released it slowly before answering. "Does it bother you?"
"You know it does. I've told you a thousand times, it's bad for you."
"And I've told you a thousand times, it doesn't work like that for me. You know how my body heals itself." She took another short drag.
"Well, still. It's a bad habit."
"Look Pumpkin, I am going to do whatever I please and not even you can stop me. Besides, you know it's not a habit for me."
"I know... it's only when something is really bothering you." Kim laid her head back down on the woman's chest. "So let's talk about it."
The older woman just laughed. She didn't talk about her feelings. She either sulked or set things on fire and she was content with keeping it that way. "We've been through this you know I don't-"
"Talk about your feelings, I know. But I know of more than a few occasions where you've broken that rule." Kim knew that Shego knew what moments she was talking about and that one specific night was what started it all.
~~2 Years Ago~~
It had been a few weeks since the incident of Kim trying to aggressively seduce the older woman. Things were going okay between them. But that was just it. They were only "okay". Kim was anxious about everything now. They hadn't even tried going any further than brief kisses and every time she tried to heat things up, Shego clambered to find excuses to end things before it even started. Kim was beyond frustrated and starting to doubt that the woman even wanted to be with her. Was she just playing with her? Maybe that's why she didn't actually want things to go further that night, because in reality, she didn't feel that way about Kim. She just didn't want to hurt her feelings or make her angry. Was she afraid of her? Was she simply entertaining the girls little fantasy?
Kim wished she knew how to talk about her feelings. Maybe if she could just... talk! She was Kim Possible. She could do anything! But... this situation clearly proved that statement to be wrong. And something about being vulnerable with Shego, a woman she had spent her entire teenage years hiding any weaknesses from, was still instinctively wrong.  She had spent the last six months in a depressed state, she hid it for the most part from her family and friends but sometimes they noticed. They all blamed it on the situation, on Shego. And while it was the reason, it was not exactly what they thought, but it's not like she could tell anyone. Her? Falling for her nemesis? One of the most notorious villains and the best thief that was wanted in several countries. If she told anyone, even her closest friend, her reputation would be shot, her career... over. She had to deal with these conflicting feelings all on her own. Luckily she had six months to do so.
    She came to the conclusion that she did in fact, like the thief, and perhaps, she had more than fallen for the older woman. Hard. She missed her so much. She regretted the last thing she said to her. It was biting her in the ass. She was just so.. angry and hurt. That night they fought before she left, she had said her own choice of words but ultimately... it was that last statement that cut Kim the most.
