Y/N's POV:

It was Monday today and Armin never showed up to school.

He did text you saying you should still come over for one of your weekly lessons.

You agree so before coming, you make your way to a nearby corner shop before you start trekking to his house.

***

Finally, arriving at Armin's house you knock on the door.

You wait a few seconds for a response, but no one answered. You could hear some muffled movements coming from inside but still, no one answered.

You knock again hoping someone would answer. Standing at the doorstep with a small grocery bag in your hands, you wait patiently for atleast a tiny sign that someone is at home.

No way you walked here for nothing.

"coming..." you hear a raspy voice groan from a distance.

A few seconds after hearing the voice, the door slowly opens. Your eyes were met with the one and only Armin.

He looked different. His hair was messy and he kept sniffling. His eyes were red and he looked worn out. He was wearing a blue snoodie with big dinosaur slippers.

"is everything okay?" I ask in concern as I take in his worn out appearance.

"Just come in," he yawns. It was evident that something wasn't okay. He usually looked kept together, but this, this was an Armin that you'd never seen before.

I step into the house and take off my shoes, leaving them where his were placed down. He began making his way to his room so I followed.

The first thing I noticed was his bin filled with tissues. One piled up upon another.

"Armin. I can tell something is up. What's wrong?" I question in concern, picking up on the context clues all around. The state he was in, the bin filled with nothing but piles of tissues. Something was definitely up with him.

"Let's just start shall we..." he retorts with a small smile plastered on his lips. It looked like a fake smile. Those smiles that you gave out in awkard situations. That sort of smile. His eyes also looked dark. They didn't look as bright as they usually did.

"Okay..." I skeptically reply.

***

"So what happened with the female titan?" He asks as I open my jotter.

"Well um she..." I start; trying to rake through my brain for the answer. I had no clue what the answer was but if I waffled on about something he surely wouldn't notice that I didn't use those revision notes he gave me.

"Can you just hurry up and answer?" He snaps in annoyance- glaring at me as if I did something wrong.

"She well um..." I continue, feeling under pressure by his comment.

"You never looked over the notes I gave you, did you?" He says through gritted teeth sounding slightly disappointed but all the more irritated.

I quickly fabricate something up that wasn't completely a lie."I went to a party over the weekend I didn't have any ti-" I begin before he interrupts.

"I want you to go home and look over your notes before you come back. Goodbye!"

"We just started!!" I shout in desperation.

"Well... please just go. I'm sorry y/n. I don't feel like doing anything right now. I haven't even made breakfast for myself, yet it's four o'clock in the afternoon..." he says as a tear rolls down his cheek. I lean in closer to him and wipe the tear that had just left his ocean blue eyes.
