Tutor lessons with Armin had been normal for the past few weeks, nothing at all felt off.

That is from one thing.

Armin.

Armin would never act the same way as he used to around you. You'd only known him properly for what? A month and a bit; but deep inside; there was a part of you that truly missed Armin the way he was.

You missed when he was bright and bubbly, you missed when he wasn't nonchalant, when he got flustered over the littlest things you missed, his beamy smiles that lit up the entire world, everything about him you really missed.

There were a lot of things you tried, to get Armin back to normal but nothing worked. For example, when you brought him a hamper in hopes to cheer him up.

(Flashback)
Knocking on the door of a house that was now familiar to you, the big bag of sweets, drinks, snacks and more was stationery in your grasp.

The door opened slowly to see Armin in a white t-shirt, his chest slightly visible due to him not buttoning the top few buttons. He also had on black dress pants, a golden wristwatch and black glasses.

"I brought this for you!" You smile as you blissfully hand him the hamper which was getting a bit heavy for you to carry for any longer.

His expression hardly changed when he received it; there was only a small smile plastered on his lips. It didn't compare to any of his usual beamy smiles.

"Ah, thank you y/n... 'preciate it. Can we make this quick I'm going on a date in less than an hour," he nervously chuckles as he places the hamper onto the floor. So that's how much it means to him...

"Ah, sorry you should've told me not to come!" You reply back in understanding, but insiside, hurt.

"Nah, it's fine. Let's just start..."

There were many more occasions where his demeanour felt off and you just couldn't seem to place a finger on why it was like that.

***
You and Armin were in the middle of a tutor session until you decide to break the unbearable silence.

"Sooooo... What's your favourite place to be when you're upset, Arlert?" You ask as you bop a pencil on his nose to get his attention that was previously on a computer screen.

"I don't like the last name Arlert. It reminds me of my dad. Please don't call me that..." he threatens through gritted teeth.

"Maybe you could have mine instead," you jokingly tease as you give him a nudge on the shoulder.

"I don't think thats how it works Y/N..." he sternly says as he puts his attention back onto the computer screen that he was looking at before you decided to ask the question that you now really regretted due to his uninterested reaction.

There was an occasion that felt very weird to you though. It occurred the last time you were at his house.
