Chapter 3

Ethan looked around for you but didn't see you anywhere in sight, he had a bit of hope you were still around but knew that if you did you'd be caught. Sighing he realized you must've been somewhere else as it wouldn't have been your choice to stay should any of the weird family members here searched this area.

'I hope you've left other things behind for me to let me know you're okay...' Ethan thought.

Looking around a bit more Ethan later would freeze in his spot as the phone rang once more, Zoe was on the other line asking about her father who Ethan just finished dealing with. She then went on to explain to him that there was something she needed him to do but he'd need to find some keys to get out of that house.

"Wait, where's (Y/N)? She's not in here." Ethan told her.
"If she was she must've left already, my mother is searching for her as we speak so she must be hiding out somewhere. Don't worry she'll survive and return to you soon enough." Zoe explained.

Not long after the two hung up, Ethan worried for your safety and began his search for the three dog heads he would need for the door to get the hell out of here...honestly he questioned why these people built such things even for an old house such as this.

Off to his side, Ethan noticed a room that held a shotgun but when he entered and took it off the mantel the door quickly closed shut, only when he placed the gun back did it open itself again...okay so he'd need something else to place it in there to be able to bring that gun with him.

Searching the place more he found out that the thing within a different clock was able to be removed, raising an eyebrow at this he examined it and noticed at the back it had a small note on a piece of tape. Remembering where it could go Ethan rushed back into the place he escaped from and used it on the other clock only for it to go off and later lower a dog head.

"Huh...okay guess I need to search for the other two," Ethan commented to himself.

Picking it up Ethan rushed back to the Main Room and placed it in the door, nodding to himself Ethan knew he had to set out for a search he had hoped wouldn't take too long because he wanted to make sure he got at your side before any of these crazy people did.

Heading up the stairs Ethan froze for a moment when he noticed the old woman in a wheelchair in the very corner of a hallway, unsure what she'd do Ethan carefully explored the upper level of the home as he entered a different area closing the door behind him.

When he got to a certain hall Ethan was rather grateful that there was a barricade to hide him as he noticed Margarette was just outside, crouching down trying to listen in to what she was saying despite the rain kind of masking her voice.

"I don't know what you think your doing little girl, but this family loves you! How could you think of escaping now with that boy!"

That's about all he could get as she roamed past the trailer just outside, carefully just in case this crazy woman had some sort of superhuman hearing he crept away as he continued his search for more and more supplies that could possibly aid him in his search of you or anything else you could possibly have left behind for him.

'Come on, (Y/N) show me something at least...anything to tell me you were here.' Ethan thought.

When Ethan entered the Recreation Room he searched high and low for anything at all he could use, noticing the shotgun in the locked-up room he knew he'd have to get that at one point, another he found the second dog head within a book. Now all he needed was to find the third.

But when he noticed a VHS tape on the table he approached it but got even more serious when it had '(Y/N)' written on tape that was placed on it. And well since there was a TV with one of the VHS tape players there he slowly pushed it in and waited for the video to load up only to be shocked when he saw it was you who filmed it for him.
