With his wife's warning taken into account, Ethan quickly reloaded the gun he was using taking the time to do this he remembered when (Y/N) had told him about how her family were all a part of the military and she was once a part of it as well. It was actually the conversation of when the two of you first met.

Ethan chuckled to himself as he remembered how beautiful you looked to him as you walked through the doors of a cafe, dressed up in your military uniform as you just so happened to have gotten home from a deployment and were looking for something to eat.

'I was so nervous to approach her, but in the end, she was a sweet woman and after so many dates later I finally got the courage to propose to her. Even on our wedding day she was so beautiful in that dress and has gotten even more beautiful each day. Just hold on a while longer, (Y/N)...I'll get us out of here soon.' Ethan thought.

Once everything was set and ready Ethan walked out and headed down the steps to the basement hoping he could find that last dog head for him to get out of here and reunite with his wife finally.

He'd be at her side soon.

Opening the door Ethan realized just what you were warning him by with that note, what looked like mold was coating the floor and seemed to have grown up the walls and stretching on the ceilings, it looked like it had roots in itself as it expanded throughout the area in many different places ones worse than the other.

'She wasn't kidding...this place looks horrifying!' Ethan thought.

As he walked around his footsteps were making a revolting squishing sound with each step as he pushed forwards, ignoring the sounds and swallowing his fear he continued to force himself to go onwards...you needed him and he wasn't going to stop for anything until he got you the help you needed.

Ethan later came across one of the molded and shot at them remembering to blow the damn heads off, it was there that he realized that the more time he spent there the more of these things would show themselves as they appeared through the mold on the walls or even the floors. So that was something to keep in mind to look out for.

Later he entered a room which to him looked more like what a place would hold for those who died, sure inside was one of those molded but he quickly dealt with that and searched the place for supplies that could possibly help him as well as more clues from you but nothing on your end for the time being.

'Either she didn't have the time or there is none to avoid this family from realizing what she's got planned...' Ethan thought.

What he did find however was a note to Lucas about some key, thinking he might just need it he looked at what was behind him and tried to think of how he'd successfully finish the 'puzzle' as it felt more like, took him a bit but in the end, Ethan guessed right only to get confronted by an even bigger molded which nearly got Ethan to use up his bullets to finally put it down.

Grabbing the key and pocketing it he then continued his search around the place, he found other supplies to use for his search around the place as he came across more molded as well as a weird-looking key to use. Shaking his head he wasn't sure if he should be surprised or weirded out by it.

It was in a split moment however that Ethan remembered some doors that held the same design on them that matched the key he had now. Deciding that maybe this could be his chance to get the shotgun so he had more firepower to get to your side again he ran back where he was at first quickly shutting the door to the basement behind him and rushed towards the very door he saw on his way there.

Pressing it in the lock he gently twisted it and sighed in relief as he heard it unlock, holding it in one hand and opening the door with the other he let the wooden door rest on his side as he grabbed his handgun and slowly looked around in the Main Hall, no one was there. Nodding to himself he then proceeded to try to get to the second floor...
