"Mom, it's been a month. Things are never going back to normal."

"You don't know that."

"But you do. They'll never let it go. I need to tell them."

"If we go through with this, things will change."

"Maybe that's for the best."

Pepper sighs, before pulling out her phone. "Have you told Peter about this?"

"Yes."

"May?"

"They're both okay with it."

She clicks a contact on her phone and then holds it to her ear. "Happy, can you schedule a press conference for later tonight?"

"It's been a month since the Dark Dahlia has been missing. Every time the superhero was spotted she was with Spider-Man, so we can't help but wonder if it's Spider-Man who's responsible for her disappearance-" Says J. Jonah Jameson on the Daily Bugle.

I grab the remote and turn the TV off, looking back at Peter, who is still looking at the blank TV. "Why does he hate me so much?"

I lay back down on top of Peter and rest my chin on his chest, looking directly into his eyes. "He doesn't hate you..."

"He definitely does."

"He doesn't have a reason to. You're amazing, he doesn't see that, but I do."

Peter leans forward and kisses me softly. I bite his bottom lip and he giggles into the kiss.

"Miss Stark, you should be getting ready for the press conference."

"Not now, Friday."

"Gracee!" I hear Morgan yell, followed by her footsteps as she runs down the stairs.

I get up off of Peter and he sits up while I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand. We stare ahead at the TV that is now off, just as Morgan reaches the bottom of the stairs.

"Hey Morg." I say as she runs into my arms.

"Mommy and Auntie May wanted me to tell you that they are ready for you."

"Thanks for letting me know, little mess."

I tickle her and she tries to escape, so I wrap my legs around her, hugging her tighter.

"I saw your dress, it's really pretty." She giggles.

"You picked it out, silly."

"I know! I'm going to play toys. Bye sissy, bye Petey."

"Bye Morg." Peter and I say in unison.

We both stand up and he places his hands on my hips. He kisses my collar bone and I sigh, leaning my head back.

"I'm excited to see you in your dress." He says softly against my skin.

"I'm nervous."

"Don't be, sweets. If you can save the universe, you can get through a press conference."
