Chapter 7: Y/N learns about GCPD shooting

Y/N's POV

I stayed in the Batcave studying about Selina. I wanted to learn more. But as I was studying, the news turned on.

Vicki: This is Vicki Vale, reporting live from Gotham City. The GCPD has been attacked.

Y/N: What?!

I turn up the volume.

Vicki: Here, we have camera footage of the attack. Warning, this footage might be disturbing.

I watch as cops got shot by a man with a... umbrella? I hear one cop speak.

Cop: W-Who are you...?

I see the man smile.

Man: Call me... Penguin...

Y/N: Penguin?

Vicki: Joining us, we have Commissioner Gordon.

Gordon: I was able to identify who the main shooter was... this so called "Penguin". DNA shows this man is Oswald Cobblepot.

Y/N: Oswald... Cobblepot...

Gordon: We are aware about the history of his family, but he was missing for so long...he was last seen the day his parents died, his basket fell into a river and went to the sewers. Anyone who has been down there never found a body...

Vicki: Thank you for your time, Commissioner.

I hear Alfred walk down.

Alfred: I assume you heard the news, sir?

Y/N: GCPD shooting, Oswald Cobblepot... calls himself the "Penguin..."

Alfred: It appears we have more trouble in the city.

Y/N: First we have Selina, now Oswald...

Alfred: You think they are working together?

Y/N: First Selina shows up to steal a diamond, now Oswald shoots up the GCPD... this can't be a coincidence... they have to be connected so how...

Alfred: What are you going to do?

I think.

Y/N: It's going to be a long few nights...
