Chapter 9: Meeting Selina

Y/N's POV

I drive all the way to the charity ball. I park and get out of my car. The crowd sees me.

Crowd: It's Mr. L/N!

The crowd starts taking pictures of me. I wave and walk through. I walk inside the ball.

Y/N: I'm in, Alfred.

Alfred: Any sight of Selina Kyle?

Y/N: Not at the moment. I'll keep looking.

I walk through the crowd of people. I see people dancing on the floor. I look around. I see a woman walk towards me.

Woman: Y/N L/N?

Y/N: Uh, hello...

Woman: I didn't expect to see you here.

Y/N: Well, I have someone here that I'm looking for.

Woman: Oh... okay...

I walk past her and continue looking through the crowd. Another woman cuts in front of me.

Woman: Y/N! Wanna have a dance?

Y/N: No thank you.

I walk past her. I then see a woman sitting by herself, she was wearing a fake cat mask. It was Selina.

Y/N: I found her.

I look at the custom masks. I see a bat one. I take the mask and put it on. I then walk over to Selina.

Y/N: Selina Kyle...

Selina looks up at me.

Selina: Woah. You're that L/N guy.

Y/N: Y/N L/N.

Selina: Y/N... what are you doing here?

Y/N: I came here to ask you some questions, may we head to the floor?

Selina: Okay...

Selina follows me over to the floor. There was jazz music playing. I see couples dancing. Selina puts her hand on my shoulder as I wrap my arm around her waist. We then take slow steps with the music.

Selina: Why do you want to see me for?

I lean my head to her ear.

Y/N: I know who you are...

Selina: Are you stalking me?

Y/N: I know you have that Diamond. Where is it?

Selina looks at me, she looks focused.

Selina: Wait a minute... you're...

She starts to whisper.

Selina: You're the bat?

Y/N: Are you working for the Penguin?

Selina: What are you talking about?

Y/N: You show up to Gotham, and he starts terrorizing the city. I don't think it's a coincidence.

Selina sighs.

Selina: I'm not working for him. I just do some small jobs for him to get money, that's all.

Y/N: Why?

Selina: I won't tell you here.

Y/N: Where's the Diamond?

Selina: It's safe.

Y/N: Give it.

Selina: I don't have it on me right now.

Y/N: I want you to return it. Why do you need the Diamond?

Selina: Penguin... wants it.

Y/N: Don't give it to him. If you're doing jobs for him, you should know where he is.

Selina stays silent.

Y/N: Where is he?

Selina: I'll show you... I'm supposed to be giving him the Diamond anyways.

Selina sighs again.

Selina: He has vaults, I only know one of the locations, and that's where I'm meeting him. I don't know how many more he has.

Y/N: I'll find them.

I give her my number.

Y/N: I'll be ready, call me when you are.

Selina thinks.

Selina: Fine.

Y/N: Okay. I'll be seeing you.

I leave the floor and walk out of the building. I get in my car.

Alfred: How did it go?

Y/N: She cooperated with me, I don't believe she's really bad, I'll find out more later. She'll show me where one of Cobblepot's vaults are.

Alfred: Good job, sir.

I drive away.
