Chapter 24: Last Vault

Batman's POV

The truck stopped at the last vault. I am on another rooftop watching the truck park. I hear the driver talking on the radio as he gets out of the truck. It sounds like Cobblepot is on the other end of the radio.

Cobblepot: Did you lose him?

Driver: Yeah.

Cobblepot: You better hope you did! This the the last vault! If anything happens to it, and you guys are still breathing, I'll finish you guys off myself!!

Driver: I-I wouldn't worry.

Cobblepot: Whatever you say... you better be right...

I use Detective Mode to look for any other entrances. I see a sewer that leads inside the vault. I glide down and take to grate off and enter the sewer. I go through and find a ladder. I climb up to another grate. I move it and climb up. I am in some kind of storage room. I use Detective Mode to see where everyone is. I open a door to see I'm in a hallway. It's empty. I slowly walk in the hallway. I see 3 paths, forward, left, and right. I see someone walking on the left, I quickly hide behind the wall. He is armed. Whenever he passes me, I get behind him and wrap my arm around his neck, and I use my other hand to cover his nose and mouth, he passes out. The vault is closer to the right, so I go to the right hallway. I see a vent that leads to the vault room. I go in the vent and crawl through until I'm below the men in the vault room.

Man 1: Do you think the Bat will show up?

Man 2: No way, and if he does, we'll make him regret it.

I jump out of the gate and wrap my arm around the first man, taking his head and slamming it on the ground, knocking him out.

Man 2: HE'S HERE!!!

I jump over to the second man and hit his gun away and elbow him in the neck, knocking him out. I rush over to the third man and knee him in the face, knocking him out. I then grab the fourth man by the throat and slam him into the nearby table, knocking him out.

Man: TAKE THIS!!!

The last man tries to shoot me. I start dodging the bullets. I make it over to him and disarm him, I then throw him at some boxes, I then rush over and headbutt him while he's on the ground, knocking him out. I then look at the vault. I put my middle and index finger on my ear.

Batman: Alfred, I'm here. I'm at the last vault.

Alfred: Excellent work, sir. Any sign of Mr. Cobblepot?

Batman: No, but he's probably here somewhere. I'll worry about him when I take out the vault.

I get out my explosive gel and open the vault. I walk into the vault. I spray the explosive gel at the boxes of weapons and drugs. I then leave and close the vault. I step back and get ready to pull the detonation button.

Cobblepot: Not so fast, Batman...

I see Cobblepot and more of his men enter. The men surround me.

Cobblepot: Put... that... thing... away...
