Everything changes

Guilt

It's been about 2 weeks since what happened Jesse goes to therapy 3 times a week he also has nightmares almost every night to we're he freaks out and starts screaming through the night until someone comes to calm him down.
Hailey still blames herself and Jackie refuses to talk to her

Today Jackie came to drop Jesse off
Jackie=bye sweetie
Jesse=bye mommy
J=hey buddy
Jesse=hey daddy did you miss me
J=of course I did
H=Jackie, can we talk in private
Jackie=I have nothing to say to you
H=pls I feel awful for what happened please just talk to me
Jackie=why so that you can feel better about what you have done
H=I just want you to know that I love Jesse and if I would have known that would've happened that day I wouldn't have taken my eyes off him
Jackie=but you did take your eyes off of him now he's traumatized can't sleep through the night without waking up and screaming because of nightmares and can barely be around any men except Jay by his self
They both had tears in their eyes
H=I love him so much and I would do anything to protect him
Jackie=but you didn't...
Jackie left
Jay and Jesse were in the living room watching tv
J=Jesse why don't you go take a shower
Jesse=ok
H=I can't do this
She began to break down
J=hey I know it's hard but we'll be okay
H=no it's.. it's all my fault...I'm the reason for this
J=no you're not, Jackie is just hurting like I am me and Jackie are having to watch our little boy hurting so bad and we see how traumatized it is. She just wants ti blame someone I know you believe in fighting fire with fire and so do I but just give her a break.
Sophia woke up from her nap and was crying
J=I'll go get her why don't you go get in the bathtub and just soak and take some time
H=thanks
Jay walked upstairs into Sophia's nursery
J=hey baby girl you have a good nap
He picked her up
J=you need a diaper change
He changed her diaper
Jesse=daddy
J=hey bud I'm coming I'm just changing your sisters diaper
Jesse=did I make Hailey upset
J=what why?
Jesse=because I heard her crying
J=no bud you didn't make her upset she is just having a lot on her right now we all are
Jesse started crying
Jesse=I.. I'm so...scar-scared
J=hey listen to me you don't have to be scared okay I know what happened to you was horrible and it hurts but you are so strong and you don't have to be scared because he will never hurt you again
Jesse="you promise" he said sniffling
J=I promise now go downstairs and find your favorite movie on tv and we will all watch it
Jesse=can Sophia watch it with us
J=well is she doesn't get cranky
Jesse=why does she get grumpy
J=because she's a baby and she thinks that everything is all about her. Isn't that right Sophia
He said looking at Sophia
Jesse=well I'm going to find a movie
J=okay we'll be down soon
Jay took Sophia and put her in her baby swing in the den where Jesse was sitting on the couch
Jesse=can we sandlot
J=we have that 1001 times
Jesse=fine
J=I'll be right back
Jay walked into the bathroom where Hailey was drying off
J=hey
H=hey where's Sophia
J=I put her in her baby swing in the den, Jesse is sitting on the couch and his picking out a movie I told him we would all watch whatever he wants
H="let me guess sandlot"she giggled
J=he was going to put that on but I reminded him that we have watched that movie 1001 times so he's finding something else
H=great I am so tired of watching that movie
J=me too
Jesse yelled from the den
Jesse=dad! You ready
J=I'm coming!
They walked in the den and Hailey grabbed Sophia out her swing and they both sat on the couch with Jesse in between them
Jesse=can i hold her
H=okay but sit back and I'll put her on your lap
Jesse=okay,
She put Sophia in his arms
Jesse=I love her
H=she loves you too
Jesse=how do you know
H=well because look she's grinning like she always does when you hold her
He smiled at her
Later that night everyone was sleep in the house
(Screaming)
Jay and Hailey woke up
H=that's Jesse
J=I know I'm going you stay here
He ran up the stairs
J=hey you're okay... you're okay calm down
Jesse="daddy!"he said hugging Jay tight
J=yeah it's okay I got you
Jesse wiped his eyes
Jesse=I'm sorry
J=it's okay you don't have to be sorry
Jesse=can you stay with me in here tonight I only feel safe when I'm with you
J=sure I can
Jesse=thank you daddy
J=you're welcome
He laid down beside Jesse and Jesse cuddled into Jays side
