It was stupid. Having to wake up early in the morning just to go to school. I was going to miss those days where I got to stay up late and sleep in. It was the best. I sighed in disbelief I was still going to school.

I got ready for school. I went to the kitchen. My dad was there with pancakes.

"Hey honey excited for school?" Asked dad.

"Does it look like I am excited," I groaned with a frown on my face.

I ate pancakes and grabbed my backpack. Happy drove me to school. My new school. So exciting... I had my schedule and my locker number. I went to my locker. I struggled to open the lock. I gave up opening it. The bell already rang. First period was about to start and I was completely lost. I had English first. I was a sophomore but I felt like a new freshman who came to high school and was lost finding the classrooms.

In English, I introduced myself to everyone. I had to tell everyone what my hobby was doing. I didn't say watching my dad using nanotechnology on his Iron Man suit. I didn't say to the class that I was his daughter. We were reading a book called "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. The bell rang. The second period started. I looked at my schedule and I had chemistry.

Same thing in English. I had to introduced myself and say one thing I like to do. Honestly are my classmates learning anything or just learning about the hobbies I like to do. The science teacher name was Roger Harrington. He explained to us our project. My first day of school and I already had a project. I mean what did I expect it's chemistry.

"For the project, you will be working with the partner I paired you up with," said Mr. Harrington.

A student raised his hand.

"Yes?" said Mr. Harrington.

"Is the partner you assigned to us permanent for the rest of the year?" asked the student.

"Ah yes it is" said Mr. Harrington.

He called out the names. I waited for my name to be called. Of course I had to socialize with a partner. Maybe I would make a friend today. On a second thought, no because I am socially awkward around people and can't even start conversations.

"Y/n with Peter Parker," said Mr. Harrington.

I was standing behind the classroom because we had to sit with our partners for the rest of the school year.

Mr. Harrington pointed at the empty desks in the middle of the classroom. Me and Peter sat down. Mr. Harrington called on names until he was done. I was working with Peter for this project.

"So your new?" asked Peter.

"Yeah why would I stand in front of the classroom and say one thing I like to do?" I responded.

He blushed in embarrassment.

"So how are we going to do this project of explaining each plant and animal cell then comparing them?" asked Peter with a smile on his face.

"I have an idea on how to do it," I said with delight.

Me and Peter worked on the project together. We barely talked because we were focusing on getting this project done because who wouldn't want less homework? I caught Peter staring at me. He quickly looked down at his shoes. I stared at Peter. He had brown beautiful eyes and brown luscious hair. He looked at my eyes. We gazed at each other. Then I quickly looked away. We managed to finish our project. Maybe this Peter guy was nice. The bell rang. I took my backpack and went out of the classroom. Peter ran after me.

"Hey Y/n this is weird because I just met you just today but I was wondering if you wanted to sit with me and my friend Ned because the lunch tables are mainly full," asked Peter with that same enlightened smile on his face.

"Yeah sure I don't wanna sit allow especially when it's the first day of school," I chuckled with now a smile on my face.

"Great see you at lunch," said Peter waving his hand goodbye.

I waved back but his back was turned. I went into my next class.
