Queenstown, New Zealand
Morning came. Warm and bright sun rays tried to break through the gap between the curtain, into the house where the guys were sleeping. Jeremy woke up first. With difficulty opening his eyes, which were stuck together from sleep, the young man slowly got up from the chair. Looking around, he tried to remember yesterday. Although, for him, all the days have become one long, endless river. But, he still remembered the events that happened yesterday. "Well," he thought, "today we have a difficult day ahead of us..Looking at the wall clock, he saw "5:45". It wasn't new for him to wake up early. Jeremy shrugged his shoulders, slowly, trying not to wake any of his friends, went into the kitchen. Hazel and Roger were lying on the couch, asleep.
- I wonder how long they will sleep...Jeremy said softly, turned to the refrigerator, and abruptly opened it. Fortunately, the refrigerator did not make a single sound, and with a sigh of relief, the young man examined the refrigerator. There was nothing to eat in it, only a pile of energy drinks lay on the first shelf.
- Yes, there is no one to eat here, not to cook for others...- he whispered. The question arose before him: "Where can I get food?". He thought about it for about a minute, and then finally decided. On soft paws, he made his way into the corridor, to the door, and feeling the pockets of his robe, he was happy to note that something soft and papery was felt there. Jeremy quickly took out the items. There was $25 in his palms. He specially kept this money for a special occasion. And so, this case presented itself. He understood that he would not be able to buy ready-made, but at least he could buy eggs, milk and bread with ham. And wrapping himself more tightly in his robe, putting the money back in his pocket, Jeremy carefully opened the door and went out. A cool breeze blew across his face. The young man squeezed his eyes shut from the sun rays warming his face. And so, Jeremy walked into the store, which was a kilometer from Jane's house.
After 10 minutes, Jeremy was already standing in the store. Of the people there was only a cleaning lady who fell asleep at the cash register with a mop in her hands. "Today I have some kind of quest called "Don't wake up, Jeremy!"- the young man thought, and quietly went to the bakery department. The "bread department" smelled delicious of fresh pastries. In this store, new products were delivered exactly at midnight, so it is impossible to stumble upon yesterday's goods here. The sliced bread immediately caught Jeremy's eye, and he immediately took it from the shelf. The smell of bread fascinated, and a strange but joyful feeling appeared, as if everything was fine. But, Jeremy could not delay, because his friends can wake up whenever they want, and he really wanted to cook them breakfast, and therefore, he hurried to the sausage department. There was no smell in this department, because all meat and sausage products were in refrigerators, and because of this, it was impossible to smell the smell. The young man was looking for ham for a long time, but suddenly, he saw it, and opening the refrigerator, took it. Milk and chicken eggs remained. Well, since the dairy department was closer, he went there.
After about 7 minutes, Jeremy had all the groceries, and he decided to calculate how much money he would have left:
Total:
25 dollars
Chicken eggs:
3.4 dollars
Ham:
$ 5.29
Milk:
0.8 dollars
Bread slicing:
