3rd Person
Back to The Others"She's been missing for a month now! Has nobody found the man responsible for this?" Bakugou asked, containing his anger since he knew a child is around. He knew Eri was upset enough and it wouldn't help seeing him blow up worse.
"Perhaps he could also explain why I can't use my quirks," Sayuri spoke up blandly and stared at Aizawa.
The day Yuri suddenly disappeared and was replaced by this one falling down beside Katsuki from above, nobody has been able to get this girl to show any sign of another emotion. Bakugou hasn't liked any part of this and has been taking it especially hard since he was right there and could've stopped it. Should've stopped it.
"What good would your stupid fucking quirks have been if you don't even have your fucking emotions to control it?" He sneered at her, remembering her telling everyone how she'd created a switch to shut off her emotions, so their attempts were pointless unless she decided to flip it.
"Logic and moral are all you need. Emotions only distract you from the job at hand," she replied apathetically.
"Emotions are what make you human," he stated promptly, ending the discussion.
"No. In my universe, my father pledged an alliance by marriage. King and Queen Bagukou agreed despite their son's many rage fits and temper tantrum's. Father saw his age and offered me since Fuyumi-nii is older. Why should I devote myself to a man that doesn't want me just for an alliance? I keep my emotions off to deflect problems like that," she shot back, this time seeming to having an actual voice.
"Really? Or do you keep them off because you're the problem and you just don't want to deal with it?" He scoffed at her.
"Maybe so, or maybe it's the assholes like you and my father that make me keep my emotions off just to get rid of the pain! I may not have my emotions on, but that doesn't mean I forgot everything when I flipped the switch, laying awake most nights- deaf to my surroundings and staring into the dark. Scared every time I recognized every person's footsteps and who they were as they got close to my door even in passing."
Everyone noticed how she faltered, her eyes closed tightly in contemplation. They didn't expect her story to be much different from their Yuri's honestly. Of course they had hoped it was better, but this just seemed to be the opposite. It was as if this Sayuri had lost the coin toss and theirs won like that episode of Futurama.
"I only plan to turn my emotions on when I feel time is right. It just hasn't happened yet," Sayuri spoke up meekly. "So uncle, any update?"
School has continued on while the pros did their best to search for any hints for Yuri and the man from the train. On top of that, the students are still expected to continue their classes with the risk of expulsion and having their hero licenses taken from them.
"They've caught the man today. All he said was she won't be coming back for a couple months," Aizawa spoke up barely. He's been stressed about the ordeal and it shows.
"A couple months?! It's already been one month!" Bakugou screeched yet again.
"The man doesn't know where he sent her, he just knows she's still alive. If she dies, he dies too. It seems she had a trap set up for anyone trying to send her away, ahead of time," Aizawa answered again.
"So there's really nothing we can do..." Mina cried.
"We can hope she finds a way back first! Or survives since we don't know if she can even use her quirks there," Iida calmed her down while Kirishima rubbed her back comfortingly.
