Kevin hurried over to his wardrobe to grab something nice-looking to wear in front of Stella. He then chose a freshly washed and ironed beige t-shirt paired with black jeans. Next, he donned his watch on his left wrist. He then grabbed his backpack and packed essential items, such as: his toothbrush, comb, and pajamas, as he intended to stay overnight.
Heading into the kitchen he grabbed the bottle of rum he had bought earlier and added it to his bag.As he was about to leave, he nearly forgot the most important item of all—his acoustic guitar. He hurried upstairs to his recording room, retrieved the guitar, and then dashed back downstairs. After putting on his shoes, he locked the door behind him and left the house to go to her place.
This would be the first time he actually would sleep there at her place. Most of the times it was only for a few hours. Mainly Kevin was too shy to ask if he could sleep at Stella's place, because he was afraid of what she'd say. But seeing how things turned out, he feels excited and happy now.It was 4:10 PM when he arrived at her house. That cozy looking detached house with bunch of flowers hanging from the ceiling of the front porch. Not to mention the path that led the front door was also covered with begonia flowers. The back of the property had a backyard patio with a bonfire where they could grill marshmallows and tell all sorts of stories gathered around the fire as there were a few seats surrounding the fire. There was a normal grill nearby with a table and chairs where they could sit.
As Kevin stepped out of his car, his heart began racing and his body slightly trembling. He grabbed his phone from his pocket and checked the time. He was a little late, but not by much. He then headed for the front door and knocked on it.
'I hope I look okay and not like a total mess...'
He thought to himself as he glanced at his clothes for a brief moment. Then the door opened and there she stood, with a gentle smile on her face.
"Hey Kev!" -she greeted him as she opened the door wide before hugging him over his shoulders.'She called me Kev...!'
This thought zipped through his mind."Hey there, Stella." -he greeted her as he hugged her back. After this conversation they let go of each other. Although Kevin was kind of reluctant to let her go so quickly.
"Can I help you bring in your stuff?" -she asked politely.
"Oh, I'd appreciate it. Thank you." -he replied.
As they made their way to the car Kevin speed walked to open the trunk of the car, then grab the guitar from the backseat before she could notice and brought it into the house. He then placed his guitar against the wall in the room and went back to lock the car.Meanwhile Stella had brought his backpack in and placed it on the sofa in the living room. Kevin pulled his shoes off and put them on the rack near the door and before he could go forward, Stella stepped out from the living room that was on the left side.
"Would you want anything to drink?"
"As in... alcohol?" -he looked at her.
"No, no. I meant water, juice or something!" -she giggled.
"Oh, my bad." -he laughed. "Water it is then."
Then they went into the kitchen to grab some drinks.
