You're clear on one thing about your life: there's no love aspect to it. You've never had someone confess to you, declare their love for you, crush on you, etc. And you've accepted that (not really) because there's more to life than love, right?

And yet, somehow, your dear student thinks you've got game. Whether you're supposed to be flattered or not is something you'll have to figure out later, since now you have been given a crucial mission: give love advice. To a 17-year-old.

You place on a serious expression, your eyes are narrowed, and your brows are furrowed. You look up at Mikasa, who looks at you with pleading eyes. You fold your hands together and bring it up to your face. "Firstly, why do you feel the need to confess?" You ask, curious to hear why Mikasa is thinking about doing something so bold.

She's always been the quiet and timid girl in your class, only speaking up when she got annoyed or angry. And she gets flustered easily, so the thought of Mikasa confessing has never crossed your mind.

Mikasa releases a heavy sigh, looking down at your desk with sad eyes.

"I think Eren is starting to catch feelings for Annie."

You nearly choke on air, but quickly swallow down your shock. You aren't shocked at the fact that Mikasa's crush is Eren, you've known that for a long time, but it's the fact that Mikasa thinks Eren likes Annie.

They barely even speak a word to each other, less look at each other.

"Where uh...where did you get that from?" You smile warmly, not wanting to make Mikasa feel invalid. You would have thought the same thing.

"Well, Eren has been going to Mr. Leonhart's taekwondo classes for two weeks now, and whenever we have lunch together, he always talks about how cool Annie's moves are." At the mention of Annie, Mikasa's voice becomes husky and hard, her eyes darkening. It scares you a little bit, and she sort of reminds you of Levi. That's when you remember that they're distant relatives.

You nod as she continues to explain the cause of her worries, while you try to carefully craft some good advice. Otherwise, you may be just setting up some trauma.

"You've done confessions, right Mx. L/N?" You hear Mikasa say, and it snaps you out of your thoughts. You blink at her, then finally process her words. You give a nervous chuckle.

"O-Of course! Back in my younger days." You lie shamefully, knowing very well that the only drama in your life was befriending Levi. And that was in your last year of high school.

Mikasa brightens, happy to have found a reliable source. A pang of guilt hits you.

"But, why do you wish to confess to Eren, even though your suspicions may be correct?" You ask, trying to gather a bit more information before giving advice.

"I heard that if you tell someone you like them, they'll start to like you back."

Very clever. I would know, except I thought they liked me, but they turned out to be dating someone.

You nod approvingly, proud for having such a smart student. "I see. In that case, let me tell you this," You lean forward in your chair, locking eyes with Mikasa. She stares back with such seriousness in her eyes, that you hope all the K-Dramas you've watched will have paid off.

"It's important to know that sometimes things don't go the way we want them to. I confessed to a person I really liked, but they didn't feel the same way. So, I was really hurt." You start, making up a random person. However, they eventually turn into Levi. And the imagination of him rejecting you...you don't even want to think about it.
