Gilgamesh stepping between Y/N and something dangerous to shield Y/N from danger.
Gilgamesh and I decided to have a cafe date today. There is a cafe up the street from our house that has the best desserts and coffee. Its not that far away. So Gilly and I usually walk there. It was such a nice day. The sun shining. Birds chiping.
"I love that we do this.",I say as Gilgamesh swings our hands back and forth. "Really?",he says with a smile that could warm the coldest of hearts. "Yep. Spending the day with my big guy.",I say playfully pushing him. He chuckles and pulls me into wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
We make it to the shop and go in. The smell of fresh coffee and baked goods hit my nose. I swear the more I come here. The more I fall in love with this place. The atmosphere is just perfect.
"Hey I'm gonna go to the bathroom. You ok with ordering.",Gilgamesh says letting go of my hand and giving me a kiss on the cheek. I nod and watch as he heads off the bathroom.
I get in line scrolling on instagram when I hear a voice behind me. "Excuse me?",I turn around to see a man. He was pretty tall but not as tall as Gil. He was a brunette with green eyes.
"Hi?",I say in slight confusion. "Hi! I just wanted to tell you that you are gorgeous and maybe we could get a cup of coffee together.", he says looking at me up and down. Now I know what you're thinking. He's harmless. But the look he's giving me says otherwise.
"Oh..I'm sorry as sweet as that is. I have a boyfriend.",I say looking at the door waiting for Gil to walk through. "I don't see him. You don't have to lie. Just say no.",the guy says following my eyes. "Excuse me? Im not lying.He went to the bathroom he's coming back.",I say getting out of line. Forget the coffee. I need Gilgamesh.
I go to the back and bump into a chest. "You alright Half Pint?",he says looking down at me. I quickly nod my head and look behind me to make sure the guy didn't follow me. "You sure?",he says confused as to what I was looking at.
I nod once more and grab his hand. I hide behind Gilgamesh as he finds out what has me so nervous. He sees the guy looking at me with a smile on his face.
He gets up and comes over. "Ah you beat me to it bro.", he says smiling at me. "But I'm sorry I'll take her off your hands. She looks to be quite the handful.",he says eying me for what seemed to be the thousandth time.
Gilgamesh looks at the man in confusion. "This is my girlfriend. You're not taking her anywhere.",he says pushing me behind him even more.
"I'm sure there's enough of her to go around.",he says with a smirk. And that apparently was a breaking point for Gilgamesh. He picked the guy up off of his feet by his shirt collar and slammed him into a wall.
"Gil no!",I say running over. The guy is turning red in the face and his eyes roll back. "Gilgamesh let go!",I say grabbing his hand and pulling his hand off the guys throat. The guy hits the ground gasping for air.
"Get out of here!",Gilgamesh snaps at the man. He picks himself up off the ground and runs. Rosie the shop owner rushes over to us. "Thank you Gil! He's been coming in the shop harassing customers for the past three days. No one wanted to say anything. People are crazy these days.",Rosie sighs.
"No problem Rosie. Things happen and you're right. You didn't know what the guy was capable of.",Gilgamesh says giving her a quick hug.
"You ok?",he says looking over to me. "I'm fine I promise.",I say giving him a hug. He wraps his arms around me and gives me a kiss on the forehead. "So...how about that coffee.",I say with a giggle.
