"Well that was a nice sleep.",I sit up in my bed one beautiful sunny morning. I turn over to see Ikaris not in his spot beside me. Eyebrows furrowed in confusion I call out his name, "Ikarissss. Ikarissssss."
I put on my slippers while I get out of bed to see a note sitting on Ikaris's nightstand. "Dear princess, I see you found my note. As you can see I'm not there at the moment but dont fret I'm at the store picking up a few things. I should be back before you wake up or at least a little after."
After I finish reading the note as if on cue the front door opens and closes. I hear footsteps coming towards the bedroom. The door opens and its my handsome Ikaris. "Morning my love how'd you sleep.",he says walking over to me and wrappint his arms around me.
"I slept great!",I say kissing his lips. He smiles in the kiss and pulls me into his chest as we pull away. "So baby I have a suprise for you buttttt you have to get back all cozy.",he says placing a kiss on my forehead. "But Im cozy in your arms.",I whine.
He chuckles and looks down at me. "Yes I am aware princess but I need to finish your suprise.",he picks me up and sits me back in bed. And with that he leaves the room not before giving me a wink.
I grab my phone off of my night stand and scroll through socials and play a few levels of Candy Crush. "Babbbyyyyy!", I hear Ikaris yell from downstairs. "Yessssss!",I respond getting out of bed. "Come downstairs please!", he says. "Kay!",I say opening the door and heading downstairs.
I get downstairs to see gift bags on the table with breakfast. "Oh my- Baby! What is all this!",I say walking over to him. "Supriseeeee! Do you like your gifts?",he says grabbing my hands taking me over to the table. "I decided to suprise you! No special ocassion just wanted to suprise my gorgeous girl. You are one of the best things that has happened to me. I wouldnt trade you or your love for anything of this world.",he finishes while grabbing my hand and kissing it.
I hug him tight as I feel tears pour from my eyes. Ikaris feels the tears falling on his shirt wetting the cotton material. He lifts my head and gives me a kiss on the lips and wiping my tears. "I love you princess.",he says looking in my eyes and kissing my forehead.
"I love you too.",I say giving him a smile. He sits me down at the table and goes to grab my breakfast. He sits the plate that has blueberry waffles,bacon,eggs, and a small bowl of fruit salad in front of me. I dig in and it taste amazing. "Wow baby this taste amazing.",I say cutting a piece to feed him. He takes a bite and nods. "Pretty good.",he says reaching to grab one of the gift bags. He hands it to me. I sit my fork fown and grab the bag to open it.
I open it to see a beautiful medium length navy blue dress with gold embellishments. My jaw drops at the gorgeous fabric resting in my hands. " Ikaris...wow.",I stutter. "Do you like it? Thena and Makkari came to help me pick it.",he says shyly scratching his neck. I give him a kiss,"I love it Ikaris."
We open the other gifts. It was shoes to match the dress and white tulips. "i love everything-thats not all.", I say as Ikaris interrupts me. He gets up walks to a drawer in the kitchen and pulls out a rectangle box and hands it to me.
I look at him curious and he simply nods towards the black velvet box resting in my hand. I open the box to see a gold plated necklace with a heart charm hanging off. My eyes feel with tears for what seems like the 1000th time today. "Open it.",he says with a smile. I open it to see the picture of me and Ikaris on our first date.
I get up to sit in his lap and hug him. "Help me?",I say handing him the necklace. He helps me put on the necklace. "Youre really the best you know that right.",I say kissing him. "So ive been told.",he says playfully cocky. I push him and he chuckles.
